I haven't read the thread yet but two ayers immediately come to my mind. I always just HATED these guys because they seemed to play so good against Calgary.
Esa Tikkanen with the Oilers. Brendan Morrison with Vancouver those 2 guys I remember just killed us.
Some others I can think of Dale Hawerchuk, Bernie Nicholls, Thomas Sandstorm, Glenn Anderson and Meester (really you can add in any of the 80s Oiler greats), Marcel Dionne.
The one killer for us was Joel Otto. He was a Mark Messier Killer.

I remember when Forsberg would play 10 games a season and 3 of them would be against the Flames and he’d put up 12 points in those games.

I tend to not include guys like Gretzky or Lemieux that were just great against everyone. More guys who were mediocre to good but had Calgary's number.

Notable Flame Killers:
Is it just me or does it seem like rookie NHL'ers are always scoring their first career goal against the Flames?
Would that stat be available somewhere?
*Another thing I notice is that a lot of NHL advertisements (over the years) show goals that are usually being scored against a Calgary goaltender.

Pettersson isn't a Flames killer. He's only played the Flames his entire pro career. Give him a year or 2 to label him as such.

Iginla vs the Wild. He absolutely slaughtered them for years.

Intradivisional play has a lot to do with it. When several of the same teams play one another a lot, this is going to happen with a high frequency, and it feels more noteworthy than it actually is. I guarantee that every fan base complains about first goals and first wins from rookie goaltenders.

Iginla killed the Preds, actually. Most goals against any one team he played against (42) in only the 12th-most games (68)

I remember a game at the 'Dome I was at with my brother. The Wild were up 2-0 heading into the 3rd, then Iggy scores a hat-trick and they win 3-2. It was a long time ago, but I remember the crowd just going nuts. Electric atmosphere.

I hated watching Avalanche games because Sakic and Hejduk would kill us all the time.
Also, Patrick Kane. Not only does he score against us, he does it with these wicked wrist shots that just put an exclamation mark on every goal. F that guy.

Anyone who hasn't scored or had a point in forever. These guys with little points always seem to have big games against the Flames.

Guaranteed Iggy goal vs Minnesota for quite a while. Lemaire said they would dedicate whole meetings to the problem of shutting Iggy down and yet every game might as well have started 1-0.
I remembered Glencross was an oiler killer, but he wasn't really. Remember his hattrick in that 8-1 game though? That was glorious. He played well against us as well - 5G in 5GP I think.
