I agree.
I think you sit him down and say there are two paths to an increased role on the team.
1) You beat a few guys one on one and score say five points in three games and we have no choice but to promote you to play with better players.
2) You simplify your game and prove to us you can be an up and down skilled physical winger that can be relied upon in your own zone.
He's trying really hard to make path 1 work, but it's time to adjust to path 2. Most NHL teams don't have the cap space to have 6 highly skilled top six players, nothing wrong with becoming the new Frolik and adding that no mistake defensive first energy component.
