#1 rushing attack? that was when you had a RB as a starting QB. Last I checked he's out with a busted foot.

Whiteout going on about thin skin and bad takes is hilarious. House plants have more self awareness.

He's dressing tomorrow.

I suspect the |Stamps will see a good dose of Streveler under center if the weather sucks as bad as it appears it will. And I also trhink if that happens, Monson will go to a "spy" technique with him using Dexter McCoil who is athletic enough to handle him.

Heavy snow tonight, but it's not expected to last into tomorrow afternoon. If they can get the field cleared off, it actually looks like it'll be a decent afternoon for football (no crazy wind or windchill):

Harris is still a 6.1 YPC back, behind a very capable OL. Streveler isn't the focal point of the Bombers running game, but he did pad the stats a number of weeks, I agree.

(edit Harris is again, #1 in the league for rushing)

I thought the running in bad weather myth has been debunked before , and bad weather is actually an advance for the D against a good RB

Or have I had too many dome beers

I don't know football that well but wouldn't Mitchell's strong short yard throwing game be just as effective as running?

The biggest issue with throwing the ball in cold isn't the actual pass getting to the spot it needs to, but more so being able to catch it. Cold hands mean less feeling means dropped balls. Particularly for some of the guys who have never played in these kind of conditions before, and Im not sure any of the Cgy receivers have played in cold quite like they will see today.

That being said, Bo's arm is a weapon, especially if windy, that other clubs don't have and if you have guys focussed on catching balls, things could go well in the passing game.

Depending on when/if the snow stops falling, footing could be the single biggest issue today for both teams.

Yes.

I think that the whole its cold so the running game is this huge advantage thing. It was years ago, but the bottom line is that shoe and glove technology has changed that.

Winnipeg has a great running game, though it didn't really show up against the Stamps, but they are poo at throwing the ball, and the Stamps have film on Collaros now.

A passing game that is screen heavy is just as good as a run game.

Plus Winnipeg's secondary is not very good.

Hey to me, the odds are pretty even, but its tough for teams to win at McMahon, and its tough for a team to win two in a row against the Stamps.

I mean lets be honest

QBs - Advantage Stamps (huge)
RB - Advantage Winnipeg (Big)
Rec - Advantage Calgary (Significant)
OL - Even

DL - Winnipeg
LB - Slight advantage Calgary
Secondary - Significant advantage Calgary

Special Teams - Huge advantage Calgary (Field position)

Coaching - Massive advantage Calgary

Home Field - Calgary

Advantage Calgary

Don't disagree, and players make the mistake of going to the sidelines and super heating their hands to warm them up in a hurry, and then going back out onto the field.

The biggest advantage in the cold is that the offensive players know where they're going and the defensive players don't so footing becomes trecherous, and it creates more breakdowns on covering routes.

Whenever I've coached in cold weather games or snowy games, in my first serious I'm taking at least one serious shot downfield.

PSA: for anyone going to the game be aware that the CFL is using half of the McMahon parking lot for event tents. Parking will be a disaster. Arrive early if you are driving

Without getting into the Dome or scheduling debate, it is shaping up to be GREAT day for football today. Sun is out, air is crisp, and the white horse is ready to run.

GSG!
