Wouldn't it be a non-alcoholic beer, with cannabis?

I can see it leading to getting way too wasted, way too fast though for sure lol good times ahead!
Hmm, I have never heard this one before. I've always heard "Hard before beer, you're in the clear, beer before liquor and you'll never be sicker". But yeah the potency of pot now is so high that there's basically no need to mix unless you just have to get that messed up.

I thought the expression was "beer before liquor - never been sicker/ beer before meth - what the hell am I doing in Cincinnati?!".

According to one of the articles, that's all it is, non alcoholic beer with THC in it.

I'm beginning to think this legalization thing is all a ploy to give CBC endless material for stories so they can stay afloat. It's been relentless.

Apparently, the https://albertacannabis.org/ website will go live right at midnight tonight for online sales.

I'm betting you'll most likely be seeing HTTP 50x errors on the website. There's no way the government will have set up a system that can handle the initial traffic demands.

The only way people I know pay $140/oz is if they're in dire straits on Hastings, or if it's AAA grade. $240/oz and you're buying premium, AAAA grade boutique weed some micro producer in Nelson makes in VERY small quantities that is the best MJ you're ever smoked.

Not that it matters much though. Everyone I know is going to pre-loaded vape pens which is even MORE bang for your buck, and way more potent (as well as discreet). That's the future as far as I'm concerned.
I was in Spokane in August visiting a buddy and was introduced to a nice old couple that was living behind them in a 50+ year old complex. They invited us over for drinks and the guy (73 years old) pulls out one of those pens and I think I had a few too many pulls off it as did I ever get stoned. It was weird to sit in an open driveway in a 50+ year old condo complex passing around one of these pens while drinking. I think I had an out of body moment where I was looking at was going on thinking how strange and surreal the whole thing was smoking this stuff and drinking with these strangers that were older than my parents. The pens and edibles seem like the most popular stuff down there.

I know I’m old but I don’t think I know anybody who smokes pot. Not openly at least. It will be interesting to find out how many people were doing it on the d/l now that the stigma should be gone soon.

It is weird how, today, we see you pot heads as filthy reprobates but tomorrow, it’s all cool.

In Spokane it felt like it was more common than smoking cigarettes. My buddy's teenage girl and her boyfriend would sit around and do it in front of us while having a beer on the porch. It seemed like everywhere we went people would just pull the stuff out and vape it or someone was passing around edibles. I personally believe that even though people say in surveys they aren't likely to do it if legalized that many do as it's just a byproduct of it being readily available and accepted.

Blatantly ripped off Walmart's logo in the process too.

Are we allowed pre-loaded vape pens in Canada right away?

Saw a news promo/trailer on the Rochester, New York channel. Story was going to be about what legalization meant for US citizens, and those who go north of the border to partake.

Straw poll question for CP - have your employers communicated anything regarding legalization? New company rules etc? I have not seen anything official but have talked to our safety people (not recently) and they were drafting our new policy. We've had to deal with it for a few years anyway in our US operations. Still, would be good to know what is allowed and what is not.

Here it's no using it on site and nothing 24 hours before a shift so as not to be "impaired"

I'm really only excited for pre loaded vape pens, heard they are super cheap, convenient and last a long time. Though I might avoid them in the long term if it ends up being a lot of waste.
