I do believe the Eagles benefitted from an easy schedule and an injury to Purdy. Without key injuries to the 9ers and Bengals I think they would have been the 2 teams meeting in the SB.
I think we have to remember that the condition of the field played a major role as neither team was able to generate a pass rush and that really hurt the Eagles. Also when Andy Reid is on his game calling plays, there's no defense in the history of the NFL that can stop his offense. All they did was lead the NFL in offense without a true number one WR or RB. If he and Mahomes are on their game, the other team really doesn't stand much of a chance regardless of their talent level.

Except it wasn't just Mahomes and Reid. He's been lit up by Dak every time he's faced him. Last year, he had something 5 different QBs complete 70% of their passes or more against his defenses, which was an NFL record. This included a game against the Raiders where Derek Carr went 31-34 against his defense.

Oh I remember that game. Quite enjoyed it. You know your team better than me so I get it.

I will say that it seems like the players really liked Gannon, so it might be one of those situations where he's a decent coach but a bad play-caller.

I see Daniel Jones is rumored to be wanting 45 million a year. He's a guy where if you pay him 15...you can probably put enough other pieces in place to have a competitive team. You pay him 30...you're likely terrible.

Ha ha ha ha. No team is going to give him that. The Giants can franchise him but even that would be a massive overpay. This is likely his agent trying to squeeze as much as he can based of a half season stretch of solid football from a guy that's been pretty mediocre for his entire career.

he's probably closer to a "4 or 5"m guy than a 45m guy. There obviously has been improvement and I think Daboll and his staff deserve a ton of credit, but asking for that kind of money is nuts.

like EE says, even the franchise tag (which is around 32m for QBs) would be way too much.

Kind of strange he would go back but I imagine Payton offers job security as he's going to be around for a while. It's just that Joseph's defenses haven't been that great.

I wonder where Wentz resurfaces. Some team's going to give him a shot. There's just something about that guy that screams loser though.

Not to be that guy but the defense badly needed a new set of eyes here. And I know people will point to the regular season success but 4 straight exits due to the defense crumbling was enough.

Timing is pretty bad for the Bills as the top candidates have been picked over. Chargers recently just settled for promoting Derrick Ansley.

Default Jalen Carter, top NFL draft prospect, charged with racing in fatal crash

Not a good story for the top prospect in the upcoming draft. I wonder how far he slides as he won't get past the Chiefs at 31 as they have a history under Reid of drafting skill over character.

Lol at trying to single out the Chiefs as the NFL's sole employer of poor character individuals. As a reminder...

Elite talent + not in jail = Every team in the league interested.

https://nflpa.com/nfl-player-team-report-cards

NFLPA team report cards as built using surveys from 1300 some players. Read and see what your team is a cheap ass about

Cardinals and Commanders are the bottom two. Pretty bleak
