Last week, TD announced that it is buying MBNA's Canadian Credit Card assets: http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/stor...mbna-deal.html

For now, they're saying it'll be business as usual and TD is just expanding its offerings. Who knows what it will mean long term for the cards that MBNA currently offers.

Icon33 Rewards Cards

I like this site http://www.greedyrates.ca because they convert each point, reward, mile to their dollar value so you can compare easily. Truth is, there is no one card that is best for everyone. It all depends on where you spend and what kind of reward appeals to you.

I just switched to RBC Infinite Avion. I also got a lot of bonus points because our company banks through RBC and joining my account to the group plan got me 15000 points.

I don't fly much but collecting points for that is better than the rewards/cash back which is very minimal.

+1 for Avion Infinite. I also like they let you pay for the taxes with the points as well.

I use it for every single purchase I can, and every bill that allows credit card billing. I usually get enough points for a couple return tickets to Maui every year. I also double up with my Airmiles collector card, and usually get a Vegas trip or two with those points.
