He doesn't lead the league in goals, assists, or penalty minutes by a goalie. You know, those important categories for goalie stats.
He has played 8 more games than any other goalie in the AHL (450 more minutes) and won 13 more.

It has been noticeable at the games, but he does seem to be attempting to set up other players more than previous and the plays just seem to “miss”, otherwise it is his last season under contract and basically having Sutter waste your time bringing you up but never giving you a chance would have to be a kick in the nuts after what he had achieved in the first part of the season.

I have theorized that Phillips has been playing out the string for a while now. Actually reminds me a little of what we saw from Valimaki last year. Knows he's done here, knows what he's proven already at other times, waiting for a shot elsewhere.
It's not something he'd consciously do, I'm sure, but it's hard to blame a guy for being a little demoralized under the circumstances.

Clinging to hope for Scorch...expecting to be let down by a Woody look-alike.

Impressive season for Zary, especially in the second half.
His time in the NHL is coming, soon.

I hope he grabs an opportunity next year and runs with it.
I believe he will if he chooses the right team.
I do fear it may be Edmonton who is capped out and needs scoring wingers

You have to think Vladar will be traded this summer. Or do they try to capitalize on Markstrom playing better down the stretch and see if there are takers? Not sure I trust Vladar and Wolf as the tandem next year.
|
Seems like he’s done all he can do in the AHL if they have a good playoff run.

Hopefully Flames fans support the Wranglers in the playoffs. It would be nice to see a close to full Dome with the Flames out of the playoffs.
