Royal Road, EBUG. I mean I got what it meant once I got to a post describing what was happening. But I read "Putting in the EBUG seems like showing up the opponent" and had no idea what that meant. This thread was the first time I've ever read that acronym and I've read plenty of discussion and news on emergency backups over the years.

Campbell wasn't injured, and in the post game interview the EBUG even said he was told he'd be going in around the 2 minute mark.
I mean, I think it's cool that he got the opportunity, but it'd be glorious if the Oilers got smacked with a fine or something for playing an ineligible player.

I think, that with a valid Amateur try out contract, that there was no limitation beyond the expiration of that contract, in how the guy was used.

Sure, but I followed that closely like everyone else did and never once heard the term "EBUG" during it. Maybe it's because I get all my hockey info from CP.
