I've got one last night and it is the same taste as the Dome malts, which is great!! A few thoughts:

(1) $7 is pretty pricey. My wife says that she can get a same size Haagen Dazs for $5.
(2) While the taste is exactly the same, the texture is a more airy and soft rather than the thick dense swirl you get at the Dome.
(3) I hope Foothills Creamery (or Co-op) will sell this in larger sizes. We ate the whole thing in less than 10 minutes!! But then I think this will be a cash cow for Foothills and Co-op for the next little while, they won't sell in larger sizes....

Not saying that was the case for you at your location (mine is on Richmond Rd).

I imagine it could potentially be a very popular item as spring rolls along.
Same in Shawnessy. was near the ice cream but on the end of an isle in separate cooler. They had lots when I was there.

Damnit,
I'm trying to post an astronaut "Always has been meme", but I can't get it to work.
I'm so embarassed.

Ya...nice try, but no - its chocolate

Just picked some up in Shawnessy. They probably had about a dozen containers left. Planning on having this during the game tonight!

Picked 2 up in Sage Hill about 2pm. There were a few dozen left in the end-of-isle freezer.

As an aside, what a horrible grocery store. It is so cramped. The isles must be a good 2 feet narrower than an older store, with way less room on the ends too. I felt claustrophobic and uneasy the whole time. Rocky Ridge Co-op, on the other hand, feels pleasant.

I imagine production will be ramped up when the Flames advance to the next round...

Sold out in the regular ice cream aisle at Brentwood. Found some at Dalhousie but only a few left. Didn't notice if they had more in some special area at either store.

Edit: nm, Ducay meant Foothills makes the ice cream that is sold at the dome

Still, I blame Ducay for his poor wording

Pizza, Foothills provides the bags of liquid mix that the staff simply pour into the mixing/freezing machines. It comes in 4L plastic jugs like milk.

It's the same for Wendy's and their malts they serve. Pour bag into machine and allow to freeze.

Exactly, the ice cream is made at Foothills not at the Saddledome

There was half a chest at the Oakridge Coop. The flavor is really weak compared to the actual Rome malt though
