Stockton gets a chance at redemption tonight.

If they fold again tonight I'd be looking to bring in some talent for Stockton. You can't develop players in an environment where they keep getting themselves embarrassed.

Heat won 4-3 tonight

Rychel, Foo, Lomberg and Eat Bread scored goals.

Gillies stopped 32 out of 35.

Thumbs up

The Heat had their Hockey Fights Cancer night tonight and wore special jerseys in the game. After the game, they auctioned off the jerseys. The players chipped in to buy Ollas Mattsson's jersey as a tribute to his mom.

Matthew Phillips has 2 points and the Heat lead the Reign 2-0 early in the second.

Gillies in net.

Kylington added 2 more goals and had an assist on Phillips' goal, giving him three points and +4 on the night

5-1 Heat Final, and judging by the shot clock, the scored flattered Ontario

Pretty good start offensively for Kylington - 5-5-10 in 12 games played.

Looks like the team is struggling with defense overall. It's good to see a 1 goal effort from this group.

No Mangiapane in the lineup. Possible call up? Wonder if they switch him and Peluso?

I've only watched the two Bakersfield games where they got stomped, but I thought Kylington played a little safer defensively than he has in the past while still jumpig up into the rush.

The buggest surprise to me was watching the highlights of the game last night and seeing his body language after he scored. He seemed more positive than usual, maybe he's finally building his confidence now that he's the #1D on the team.

He impressed me in pre-season, quite a bit actually. Not surprised he’s started off hot this year. He’s pretty close to being ready, Flames have done a great job in developing him and Andersson in the A.

Both him and Andersson have improved every season since they have been drafted, very solid progression. Now if they could just develop a god damn drafted goalie.

Or not. Via Stockton Twitter acct:

Forward Andrew Mangiapane will be out of the lineup for approximately a week with a lower body injury.

Where have I been? Who is Rob Hamilton?

He scored the OT winner for the Heat tonight, they won 5-4. Foo, Mattson and Graovac (2) also scored. Gillies was in net.

I looked into who Rob Hamilton is, he is a 24yr. Old left handed defenseman on loan from Manchester of the ECHL according to eliteprospects.com he is also originally from Calgary. Jon Gillies was pulled in this game after the end of the 2nd period he gave up all 4 goals. Nick Schneider played the 3rd period and overtime stopping all shots he faced.

Thanks, didn't realize Gillies was yanked. He and/or Parsons really needs to get going. Two good prospects not exactly putting up stellar numbers right now.

Wouldnt be surprised if Schneider passes Gillies on the depth chart by the start of next season. Sounds crazy but the kid has good fundamentals and I have always liked his game despite not putting up great numbers in Juniors. And Goalie development is unpredictable.
