Loob - hard to say just because he left so soon. I'd like to see Reg, Theo, Mullen.
If the bar is set with Vernon for retired numbers then both Kipper and Theo deserve it along with Iggy. I think the org just doesn’t trust Theo and Kipper probably doesn’t want to do interviews and the ceremony

Theo, Kipper, and Regehr also deserve to have their jerseys retired.

Yeah i'm sure they've talked to Kipper about retiring his jersey and he's probably been non-committal about showing up.

The guy didn't show up to pick up his Vezina trophy! Loved it!

Has anyone mentioned that his 500th was against the Wild?

Because his 500th was against the Wild.

Vernon should be in the Hall of Fame, so that's not exactly a low bar.

I think this thread was created by Jarome Iginla himself to remind us his 500th goal was against the Wild.

When you think Iginla, you think garbage goals and deflections?

I sure don't.

Just grabbed some tickets before the prices got too high. They are going quickly on ticketmaster. Three times I selected some tickets and they were already gone.

Truly became a fan after Iginla left so I'm no expert but he has a reputation as a pure sniper. Another puzzling comment from TheScorpion.

I might buy futures in onion crops since there will be a rush on freshly cut onions on this night.

*does internet search*

Wait...what? I had no idea this was a thing.

it would be cool to see on HNIC though, regardless of the opponent... but i wish it was against a team like Edmonton or Vancouver

Crap! I’m going to be in Hawai’i. Pulled my tickets off the ticket exchange though.

Would be nice if the organization was finally pulling their heads out of their asses and retiring #14 but it will probably be Iginla. Not that #12 should not be going to the rafters but it is an embarrassment to this organization that 14 is not already there.

Oh I worded it poorly -- I meant to say that it was a classic Iginla moment and it makes sense that the ceremony would be against Minnesota.

No, a classic Iginla goal would be more like his 365th -- slapper, top-shelf.

Perfectly reasonable decision given his behaviour and things he's said to management and the organization over the years
