My thoughts initially as well...until it was revealed and admitted to by her, that she has pulled this stunt before. That casts a shadow over everything. Why believe her when she said he did this, when she has outright fabricated the same story previous?
Not that I care about Foster as he has issues that are all his own doing, but false allegations of this type are heinous.

Wow I'm in total disagreement with this. I personally wouldn't kneel for the anthem but any player who does should have that freedom.

I was really hoping all the anthem horse#### was gonna lead to the end of the anthems before games. Instead Goodell decides to admit what a ##### he is. Looking forward to every game having one guy from each team kneel so penalties offset.

No on field penalties, just fines, I believe.
Yeah, ending anthems before domestic sports would have been a good thing. I can see why it won't happen though. Playing the anthem before the players come out seems like it would have been the best solution. This new policy seems like it will piss off all sides, and still lead to plenty of controversy and coverage.
I imagine some teams will crack down, and some will take the fines and let the players do what they want.

I don't know that there is a right answer here, other than eliminating anthems all together.
I accept that I can't represent the organization I work for while protesting or supporting something political. I don't think a private company is obligated in any way to allow their employees to protest or make a political statement while representing them.
I don't agree that they should be forced to stand for the anthem either, so at least they aren't doing that.
I don't see that this policy will end up preventing all protests on all teams, so it wont really solve any problems, and will just get everyone upset on all sides.
