Very happy with the Chicago draft this year. Addressed a lot of needs and grabbed 3 likely day 1 starters

On Friday, a fan with the Twitter alias @LuvDemNoles22 posted a series of angry tweets about the Bucs' draft, including a GIF from a murder scene in the movie "King of New York," and the words, "When I see Jason Licht the next time I roll through Tampa."

The fan later identified himself as Mike Rogers, 38, of Houston. Rogers told the Tampa Bay Times that it was a "total exaggeration," that he was "caught up in the moment" and upset that the Bucs didn't draft FSU safety Derwin James.
What an idiot.....think whatever you want, say it to yourself in your house...but do not send it out for the world to see.

Matt Ryan is happy with this deal.

Aaron Rodgers is ecstatic.

Quarterback Matt Ryan has agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Atlanta Falcons, and sources tell ESPN's Chris Mortensen that the deal will make Ryan the first NFL player to earn $30 million per year.

The deal includes $100 million guaranteed, sources said.

Pittsburgh Steelers minority owner David Tepper is expected to sign the deal Tuesday to buy the Panthers and keep them in North Carolina, a league source told ESPN's Seth Wickersham and Adam Schefter.

A source confirmed to ESPN that the Panthers will be sold for $2.2 billion. That will set a record for the highest sale price for an NFL team, surpassing the $1.4 billion that the Buffalo Bills were sold for in 2014. The NBA's Houston Rockets also sold for $2.2 billion in 2017.

Elissa Ennis, the former girlfriend of San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster, testified Thursday in a preliminary hearing that Foster never put his hands on her and that she "lied a lot" to authorities about an alleged domestic violence incident.

Ennis, who testified against the advice of her attorney Stephanie Rickard, said she made up the story because she wanted to ruin Foster's career and sue him for money after he broke up with her on the morning of Feb. 11. She also admitted to falsely accusing a former boyfriend of domestic violence in Louisiana in 2011 after he attempted to break up with her.

Ennis said she felt she needed to tell the truth because she "had to do the right thing" even if it meant admitting to previous lies to the police and to stealing money and two Rolex watches from Foster in the days after their breakup.

My thoughts initially as well...until it was revealed and admitted to by her, that she has pulled this stunt before. That casts a shadow over everything. Why believe her when she said he did this, when she has outright fabricated the same story previous?

Not that I care about Foster as he has issues that are all his own doing, but false allegations of this type are heinous.

Wow I'm in total disagreement with this. I personally wouldn't kneel for the anthem but any player who does should have that freedom.

I was really hoping all the anthem horse#### was gonna lead to the end of the anthems before games. Instead Goodell decides to admit what a ##### he is. Looking forward to every game having one guy from each team kneel so penalties offset.

No on field penalties, just fines, I believe.

Yeah, ending anthems before domestic sports would have been a good thing. I can see why it won't happen though. Playing the anthem before the players come out seems like it would have been the best solution. This new policy seems like it will piss off all sides, and still lead to plenty of controversy and coverage.

I imagine some teams will crack down, and some will take the fines and let the players do what they want.

15 yard penalties for kneeling ... a few years ago, that would have been an Onion article. Yet here we are.

You can protest the anthem but only where no one can see you do it.
NFL gets it totally wrong...as usual.

I look forward to Fox, CBS, and NBC notifying me which players elected to stay in the locker room each game.

I don't know that there is a right answer here, other than eliminating anthems all together.

I accept that I can't represent the organization I work for while protesting or supporting something political. I don't think a private company is obligated in any way to allow their employees to protest or make a political statement while representing them.

I don't agree that they should be forced to stand for the anthem either, so at least they aren't doing that.

I don't see that this policy will end up preventing all protests on all teams, so it wont really solve any problems, and will just get everyone upset on all sides.
