Ferland deserves a standing O and as much as I wanted to see the flames acquire him for this playoff run, it sounds like he enjoys being out of the spotlight in Carolina and I hope he gets exactly what he wants and isn't forced to be a suitcase for the next 6 months.

Someone who had as big of a part at the Childrens Hospital as Dougie did in such a short period of time should not be booed.
Someone who played up to and beyond their potential during a year of players playing well below potential should not be booed

And for the works he'd done for the Children Hospital, he deserves a loud cheer when the announcer announce his name during the introduction.

Rumoured his agent is approaching the Oilers for a trade deadline deal.

He is letting his agent take care of it while he checks out the museum.

I hope they have a nice little video tribute for Ferland and Dougie. You can't question their positive contribution to the Calgary community while they were here (regardless of how they played here).

What would a video tribute of Hamilton be?

- visit to the Alberta Children’s Hospital as Leia
- Hilarious Christmas sweater
- jumping out of the car and taking a shot on some kid’s net during the summer
- couple of photo bombs during post game interviews

You know, that wouldn’t be bad, but the team didn’t accomplish anything significant on the ice. So no on ice highlights.

I’d watch that, though.
