I think this will be low scoring game with some scraps after whistle. Czarnik plays so well that everybody wonders why he was off the line. But not sure about the final score. Go Flames Go!

  2. Mark Giordano is one goal from tying Tim Horton and becoming 69th all time in NHL scoring as a defencemen.
  3. Michael Frolik is one assists from a career 200. Even though he has 7 goals he is yet to get an assist this season.
  4. Sam Bennett is one point from tying Jiri Hrdina and Bobby Lalonde is points as a Flame. They each share the 88 position.
  5. James Neal is one point from a career 500.
  6. T.J. Brodie will tie Craig Conroy in games played as a Flame tonight. For one night they will share in 18th of all time spot.
  7. Sean Monahan is one point from a career 300.
I always find the Giordano one pretty insane. When all is set and done, can he be Top 50 in points by a defensemen all-time?

Compared to his average per season point totals, it'll take him the rest of his career to get there. There are a few active players who might pass him on the way. For goals alone, he might crack the top 50 early next season.

So, I was watching a Ducks game a couple weeks ago (I think it was the hilarious last minute meltdown against Philadelphia) and I noticed that there was ANOTHER, younger, less-bearded guy firing off his finger pistols in the crowd.

Excited to see if they can keep rolling. They really have a chance to kick a couple teams while they are down... This is a key roadtrip for them, even if it is early in the season.

If the flames can take 4/6 points then they are laughing. To me this is the must win out of the 3 as the kings may be playing good and revitalized under a new coach and the sharks are good.

Securing at least 2 points out of the 6 would be ideal tonight

No reason why we shouldn't come out of this game with 2 points, as long as the guys keep their feet moving, get the forecheck going early, and just stick to the game plan. Ducks are old and slow, so the Flames should be able to use their speed to their advantage tonight.

The only question is whether or not Smith will let in a stinker or two. Let's hope he rebounds tonight, because we need him to.

That could cost us some goals

Hopefully we can capitalise better on our chances too....rather than dominating the play early but still falling behind.

Like someone said a couple games ago, a nice fun, leading all the way game would be great.

A laugher against the Ducks, in Anaheim? Against Ryan Miller? That would be the greatest thing ever. Bring it on.

Ya I remember. Younger guy with glasses and backwards hat, just as obnoxious though.

No finger pistols tonight you loser.

Rasmus Andersson gets a lucky bounce to score his first of the season in this 1-0 goaltender's duel.

And Sam Bennett force feeds Ryan Kesler a knuckle sandwich.

I honestly hate the Ducks more then the Oilers and Canucks combined. Don't let their slow start, injuries or the fact they have 8/9 losses fool you. They will make a huge surge later this season to steal the #1 spot in the Pacific. That I can assure you will happen like it does every f'ing season, and then it messes up the playoff rankings for everyone. Just thinking about that and knowing it will happen makes me upset.

I'm a bit worried for this one. But Smith did break the curse last season, so if anyone can do it he can. But his play is concerning. Easily his biggest game this season.

If he can steal a win at an arena the Flames only have 1 win in 15 years, I'll praise his name. However even though the Flames broke the curse last season, it's still only 1 win since 2003. But the team is resilient in the 3rd period. So no matter how bad it gets, I'll still stick around till the bitter end, even though an 830pm start sucks balls.

F you Ducks

If Gio scores the goal and Neal gets the helper, who keeps the puck?

What are we like 1and 30 visiting the Honda center? Hopefully they can play a solid 60 minute game tonight.

Mike Smith completely terrifies me. As much as I hate to say it I think he gets lit up once again.

Ducks fans have zero confidence in their team, want the coach fired, Vet's playing like garbage, Perry's gone, Getzlaf's nursing injuries, all in all a cold team.

Flames are red hot, in a solid groove and Smith is decent on the road.

So my buddy who drives up from San Diego to watch every single flames-ducks game, has seen all their 20 straight losses in a row. (I saw about 10 of those too from 2001-2009) Then he missed the last game due to a wedding and the flames finally won. He's back watching the game tonight, sorry.
I think this flames team might be different though.

Death, taxes and Rakell scoring on the Flames. That is all I am predicting.
