Vladdy doing interviews in English is awesome. The player is frustrating. But the person is pretty rad.

This is why you never give up on a team that has good pitching. The Jays will still be in the playoff mix, even if the offense never fully wakes up. This team can win a lot of 5-4, 4-3, and 3-2 games.

Was at the game tonight. Really fun one to see live. Kikuchi was great and has a lot of personality on the field. Clutch hitting and a bit if drama at the end with Romano coming in.

Ballpark looks great. Crowd was not huge but was into the game.

Too bad the roof was closed as it was quite a nice day here. These MLB players really are precious.

It's glaring on TV as to where in the ballpark they've overpriced sections of new seats. Down both lines, in the outfield past 3rd, anything further out than row 3. I assume they're the same price as much better seats, and significantly more than the next tier or seats in the second or third levels. It looks pretty bad to see a huge patch of seats empty on thekwer bowl, especially since theyve darkened the upper decks now.

My guess is those will come down in price by the time the next homestand hits; again it looks bad on TV and that's not the look the Jays want with a brand new seating area.

I was at the first two games of the year and the prices are pretty crazy for the 100 infields. The extreme being behind home plate area going for $1200 for the second game, on the open market. For the second game we just had $10 Black Friday 500 level seats but I sat near the foul pole in the 200s. Next time I’ll look to move to 100 levels when I find an usher that’s lax. The prices are crazy. Two years ago I went to Pittsburgh and sat nine rows up in two separate game by the third and first base and got the tickets for $20 USD and $30 USD. Granted you can’t bring your own food in there it was still a nice experience at a reasonable price.

Timely hits and aggressive base running? Sure, I like it, makes for a fun game. Not sure they have enough guys to play that way but I'll take it for now.

Would like to see a more consistent lineup of Clement at 3rd, IKF at 2nd and either Schneider or Biggio in LF. Run with it for a dozen games and see what happens. Stop over thinking things and get the team consistency and rolling.

Pete Walker has to be the best pitching coach in baseball. Every year he seems to turn somebody's career around.

I agree on much of what you said but disagree on who to keep where.
Clement at third, sure
Schneider at LF, why not, he hits better than Varsho, though Varsho would move to CF
Biggio should be 2nd though
IKF and KK should be mostly brought in if holding a lead

Man I hope Gausman is closer to the real Gausman today. A sweep would be so nice to get.

Schneider scheduled for his first start of the year at 2B today, IKF sitting and Biggio moves to 3rd. Still undefeated with him starting, be great to sweep the Yankees...

Hopefully we get OG Gausman.

Romano definitely looked rusty last night imo (he would have blown the save if not for Varsho's great catch) but with Garcia being "I just 1-2-3 the heart of the Yankees order in 10 pitches twice in a row no big deal" the bullpen is still looking strong.

This bullpen....when everybody gets up to speed?

Romano
Garcia
Green
Swanson

That is potential lights out in high leverage.

If Mayza can get back to what he was doing last year, apparently they identified something in his delivery that changed and he's working on fixing it.

And Richards when he is on has the most swing and miss in the BP with that deadly change up.

Heck even Pearson looked amazing in his last outing before being sent down. sitting 99mph and topping out at 102 mph with a wipe out slider.

I think IKF is better than Biggio in every way. Better hitter throughout his career and a former gold glover. We would be ecstatic to see Biggio turn into IKF. I like Biggio but there is not much more there than what we see now.

Yes, Varsho to CF. I will take a .220 Varsho over a rapidly declining Kiermaier. Fine as a defensive replacement or spot duty as the 4th outfielder at this point. Not a fan of Schneider in LF but not many options at this point unfortunately.

Excited for a day game, but I have a bad feeling Gausman will still be dealing with whatever was ailing him and we'll be down and out early on, again. I'm really surprised they didn't skip at least one start for him.

I don't feel like working much today so a day game is perfect. Better if I was at home and out on the deck with a beer but I will take it.

Hoping for a series sweep vs the Yankees! Suspect I'll still see posts about how much the Jays suck while in a 5 game winning streak, but that's life!

Love the ump calling a strike 3 inches off the plate . Instead of bases loaded a double play

Bad umping is the biggest issue in pro sports
