Expensive Press Level Seats
I was just checking out the Flames regular season pre-sale, and press level seats are listed as $140 a seat for the home opener! $151 for premium games (before TM fees)! This has to be a mistake?

What rows? The first 3 rows are the best seats in the building.

I love these seats and try to pick up a ticket or two when I see them on TikTiks. For me some of the best bang for my buck.

For the price.
If they've quadrupled the price, they're not so good.

That doesn't seem right...
would be really surprised if the seats were going for more than $75. tough to justify

Not having to deal with the commoner washrooms almost makes them worth the price of admission alone.

I have season tix and my seats are 3rd row of PL. The two seats right beside the pressbox runway and concession. Washroom is close by as well.
I have the only 2 seats in the row with only 2 single seats in front of me.
They are truely the best PL seats in the house IMO. There are 4 sections like it in the dome - one in each corner.
That being said I can't go to 41 games so if anyone is interested I can prob help some of you out.
Send me a PM if you are interested and we can discuss which games - I certainly won't be charging $140/ticket.
I might give away some preseason games for free or for like $20 as well..

Are these pre-sale tickets? Cause I just bought some tickets for the home opener in Sec 207 R 16 for $180 (pair). I wonder why press level would be more expensive.

I'm going to guess it's a system screw-up. Tickets at the 200 level end zones are showing as $90, and there's no way the top of the 300s is meant to cost more. Other games are showing similar silly prices too.
The season ticket price for those seats is just under $21 per game. I'd guess the regular price is meant to be no more than $45, and often less.

the price of NHL tickets are insane and i just cant support it. one nice thing about being a fan of a team outside the city is you can go to one game a year and not sweat paying too much.
but consider that in a few years when both my kids are old enough to go. let say my wife stays at home cuz she really doesnt care about hockey. parking ill call 10 bucks cuz im cheap and will walk a little. 3 tickets @ 140 bucks. hot dogs and drinks for the kids, ill call 20 bucks.
450 dollars. unreal.

What would be nice is for Calgarypuck to allow us season ticket holder members to sell our tickets above face value. It's already going on everywhere and if we could do that we would get fair value for the premium games and save huge ticketmaster fees for the buyers.

Has anyone called the ticket office to see if there's a mistake on the pricing?

IMO it would be a huge mistake for Bingo and team to allow for sales above face value on this site, it's a huge perk to being a member of this site.
A friend mentioning to me that CalgaryPuck was a great site to buy face value Flames tickets is what attracted me to this site to begin with.
11 years and 12k+ posts later I am still here, and I'm sure I'm not the only poster with that experience. If tickets were being sold at scalper prices I probably never end up on this site.
As a season ticket holder you are already making the mark up from season ticket holder price to face value price when you sell on CalgaryPuck, if you want to make more money then you can deal with the a-holes on Kijiji or the ticketmaster fees.

This would be ideal. Stubhub introduced GST on both sales and purchases on their site for Canadian and I imagine ticketmaster is going to follow suit since this is a governmental requirement. If anyone thinks, Stubhub and ticketmaster will lower their fees based on the goodness of their heart are dreaming. Allowing actual free market sales on this site will be beneficial for both season ticket holders and fans that want to attend a gate at a reasonable price. Very few games will go above face value anyways... We can keep dollars in the pockets of fans and not these middlemen companies!

Except it leads to far fewer premium game tickets being listed here. When I was selling my games the premium games were sold on Kijiji and the non-premium stuff here. So the only people this policy hurts are its users. Even changing the limit to the price for single seats on TM for each game would be a good compromise while maintaining the sense of community.
