One thing about Kijiji is that if you wait long enough and priced it in the ballpark you always get your selling price. At some point after all the laughable “it’s bla, bla, bla on Amazon” someone comes along, that needs it urgently and it’s a sale!

Agree about the good pictures, they are absolutely necessary.

For science:

After watching that, I thought I liked V12s more than V10s more than I do. They are not that drastically different. I still really like the exhaust note of the V12 Vantage and the old B50 BMWs.

After more research, I'll concede that Audi/Lambo V10 sounds pretty damn good, as does the Carrera GT.

Not changing my mind on the E60 however.

It's funny how subjective our views can be when it comes to vehicle sounds. I once had a fellow at a gas station in Kamloops tell me my 1995 911 sounded like a '####ty old chainsaw'. Why, thank-you! I just love the sound and smell of air cooled 911's, especially the early 2.0L-2.4L cars, carbureted even better.

My favourite car for sound is the Mazda 787B (Porsche 917/30 being a really close second), it also looks great and comes from an era where drivers were far more involved with driving, and lone behold - rowing their own gears. I love built rotaries, New Zealander's have a knack for building amazing rotary engines.

Lastly, I'd love to take Mad Mike's FD for a spin!

Sound is half the reason why air-cooled cars are so expensive. They sound like angry tractors, and I love it. New Porsches sound like wheezy Subarus in comparison (though I have to say I still loved the sound of my NA Cayman...at least from inside, outside was a little lame).

It's partly why I find it hard to get excited about electrification. While the acceleration is great, they all sounds pretty soulless.

^ I am a sucker for Subarus with unequal length headers. There's a Legacy GTB kicking around with aftermarket exhaust and unequal length headers that appeals to my inner 16 year old.

The other interesting sounding car is the R10 TDI. It sounds like crap at idle, because diesel, but like an utter spaceship at WOT.

I'll have to look up some exhaust clips for Subarus with unequal length headers. I have not once in my life heard a Subaru I thought sounded good.

V10s in general are widely considered the best sounding engine configuration... LFA, Carrera GT, LMP cars, F1 cars... all considered the aural peak of their kind... I just happen to think the BMW V10 fits in that category as well... Like you said, personal preference... I guess yours is just wrong
V10s done right, absolutely.

This is when it's done wrong (stock sound):

Once it's done correctly:

Could do without the American flag every time you get in. But the front looks a lot better than the Chevy.

Lots of cool features-

-foldable shifter leaves room for a small desk
-sleeper seats
-power tailgate, on board inverter, tailgate work surface

Huge upgrade in the interior which was needed to compete with the Ram.

Obviously I’m biased since I ordered a 2020, but lots to like on the 2021, but still happy with my decision. The storage underneath the back seats is a pretty clever idea.

I still don’t love the large display/dash integration, but it looks a lot better than I thought it would.

Does it come with a wrist rest on top of the steering wheel?

Yah, we’re expecting baby #2 imminently and I was thinking those could have been pretty useful for some lunch time power naps.

Just wondering what people's opinions are on which would be a better buy in terms of reliability and cost of ownership: 2016 Volvo V60 vs 2016 Subaru Outback. My preference is the Volvo as it is sportier, nicer looking and more fun to drive but I feel the maintenance will be more expensive. Thoughts?
