Basically that depends on whether Quinn Hughes turns out to be good.

Also, I posted in the B&S section, but if anyone knows where I can get a good price on just a single ticket for this one, PM me.

Excellent news. Czarnik is fine as a 13th forward, but he has not shown enough (IMO) to have earned a spot in the lineup. Rieder is at least as good in the one thing Czarnik possesses (speed), plus he is better defensively and is a great PKer.

After a disappointing playoff finish; the Turtle, (hopefully also Mr. Sticky - paging dissentowner) and myself and raring to go for this one. Hoping for an absolute curb stomping of the Canucks. Go Flames Go

Apparently power posing at the TV already. I keep telling him he still has 8 hours to wait. He is very hungry for those 2 points.

Any word on the lines (other than Reider being in). I want to know if Bennett has been moved up in the lineup.

In other news, I've decided I'm going to drink heavily while watching tonight's game.

Canucks couldn’t handle the Oilers so we shouldn’t have a problem tonight. Famous last words something something. As long as Frolik is better.

This is how I want the forward lines to look:

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Bennett
Lucic - Ryan - Mangiapane
Frolik - Jankowski - Czarnik/Rieder

Basically, I just don’t want Mangiapane or Bennett to play on the bottom line. I also think Frolik is better than Lucic, but I have Frolik on line 4 because Jankowski needs quality wingers to succeed and apparently the Flames research suggests Lucic does best with a RHC.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik
Mangiapane-Bennett-Dube (Czarnik until the callup)
Lucic-Ryan-Reider

RW2 isn’t ideal, but familiarity may be better than tossing in Dube or Czarnik at this point.

Here are the full lines. Only change was Reider on the 4th line instead of Czarnik. Ryan takes his PP spot.

CGY knows what their game needs to 'look' like. VAN have good players and are a divisional rival.

Not to bring up last year but it really took the PIT game for CGY to hone in on being good defensively and reducing chances against (all that entails). CGY played amazing after that.

CGY plays great when they have good gaps, track back hard, play physical, move the puck quickly in transition and just make plays. I'm looking forward to that Flames' hockey and the players really embracing their identity. CGY plays fast, doesn't worry about mistakes and shows their amazing skill and talent.

Was hoping to see Frolik dropped to the 3rd/4th line. It was only one game but he sunk that line himself.

?

Frolik is still on the 3M line.

I read the GioforPM post and thought that was the lineup then when I posted I saw the official. Was hoping GioforPM's was on because I just don't think Frolik is a 2nd line player.

Expecting a better effort but I believe lose in shootout or something dumb like that. Hope I'm wrong though.
