Both of those options are very expensive. It also worries me that if I go the iPhone route that I'll destroy my battery by listening to music. What do you guys do?
Grab any smart phone, preferably with a micro sd slot (old is fine, but might be a smidge slow) and toss in any useless sim card, download proper programs for streaming or music listening and off you go.

I do this with a 4-5 year old Sony Xperia phone.

But if Apple... not sure what other options.

Another option is to buy a portable charger that you can use to charge your phone later in the day.

EDIT: I do both. But since I have the other phone, I don't need to charge my phone that much. Also helps greatly my car has a USB slot so I can use a thumb drive with music when I'm in there.

Should be a good number of announcements today beyond the 6S update. Apple TV being the most intriguing to me...

Event starts at 11am MDT.

All I want is "hey siri" to work when it isn't plugged in. I realize some people find it creepy, but it's one of those game-changers for me.

It'll also be interesting if they decide to do a gaming pad for the Apple TV that has buttons. If they go full touch screen, my guess is it'll bomb. I'm really not looking forward to the inevitable and awkward presentation from the video game publishers. Always cringe-worthy.

Hey Siri without being plugged in would be a nightmare. Walk into a busy room and yell Hey Siri, call 911 and 30 iPhones all call 911.

I have had Siri turn on when listening to podcasts where someone says something that sounds like Hey Siri and sometimes, something that sounds nothing like it but it's interpreted as Hey Siri.

This AirStrip demo is pretty wild.

I kind of want this iPad pro (I also kind of want a surface pro though so I am a sucker for these things).

I want a decent car app that will keep the maps turned on, and answer the phone by default in speaker mode so it isn't a multiple touch exercise.

Feel like they lost some momentum showing off these apple tv apps.

Initial intro looked great, feel like they didn't choose the right apps to truly show it off though.

Actually it does several key things differently. If you've ever used a stylus on an iPad, there's a problem with pressure. You can't press harder or softer to change the line thickness. Apps like paper have tried to hack around this by using speed, but it's unnatural.

If the claims are true that the lag is noticeably less, this is obviously pretty big.

You also can't use the side of a stylus to shade. For anybody drawing with it, this would be a big bonus.

The cost isn't actually all that crazy. I bought the Pencil from 53 (betting they'll have to change that name) for about $70. Easily the best stylus I've ever used, but this blows it out of the water. It can do the shading, but not the other two things.

Google has had their phones listening for "OK Google" for a while now and as far as I know it isn't much of an issue. I'd argue the benefits of getting a measurement conversion when my hands are covered in raw pork would outweigh the annoyance of having go off every now and then when it shouldn't. Super excited for this feature.

I've bought every iPhone since the 3G but I'll be skipping this one. Still offering 16GB as the base model is a joke, especially when they finally include 4K video recording. I'm sick of having to pay over $1000 to get the phone that fits my needs. I wouldn't be surprised if it still has 1GB of RAM too.

I'm still a sucker though so I'll probably get an iPad pro.

Noticed it strange how with every new release, the previous iPhone version loses its upper memory option. No more 128gb iPhone 6? No more 64gb iPhone 5s?
