For such a storied organization, such a huge black mark. I liked what Kaplan and Farber had to say on the matter on TSN. Releasing this 5 days after the draft on free agency hoping it gets buried, while still doing the "supposed bare minimum". He should not have been drafted, especially since he renounced himself from the draft (though that also is probably a PR thing)

How did they not see this happening. What concerns me as well is the rumour that other teams would have picked him in later rounds.

If he is undraftable he is undraftable. The NHL wears this...not the team that drafted him.

If they drafted him, surely they want him to play. I think they arrange for him to play pro in Europe.
