With how he has been playing this month I would settle for Gaudreau creating some offence with ANYONE on his line.

I wrote this while watching my newborn so forgot to add my actual point:
I think one of the intangibles we often underrate with Monahan is his team ability. He really seems like a "glue" guy on the roster, he makes friendships very easily: johnny and him are clearly great friends (down to getting the same dog breed), Lindy seems most comfortable with him, gio has made friendship comments, even more diversely skilled players like bouma and mcgrattan were good friends. This is a great type of guy to have on your roster, making people feel comfortable and disarming them with "boringness" (which I suspect is all an act for the media)

I wants to see how the Mangi-Mony-Benny line works, hope to see some chemistry.
Hopefully it turns into an Andrew-Sean-Sam (ASS) line.

^people on the internet definitely underrate that aspect as a whole. Guys that bring the team closer together are crucial

They could have scheduled the Heritage Classic as the early game and given the Leafs (who played last night) and Habs the night off and scheduled the Oilers-Panthers as the late HNIC game.

Never ever would happen.
Those teams draw, by far, the most eyeballs to tv screens and why they get the prime slot. All about the money.
Tonights game isnt moving the needle much as far as viewership regardless of time slot.

Well I don't think its really considered a premier show case event as it once was with the introduction of the annual winter classic. The heritage classic special because it was the only outdoor game every few years. The last heritage classic that performed really well ratimgs wise in Canada and the USA was the 2011 one mostly due to how much sponsership and lets be honest here it was because the Canadiens were playing.
Having the winter classic annually really takes the shine of an outdoor game aspect , at least for me it does. I don't even really like the fact it's considered a regular season game that counts for points.

In the Lucic video, Milan is telling his daughter at the end to go get Sean as well. Just a little thing

Watching the Ryan video, his son's using a stick that Mony gave him too. Sounds like Mony is pretty popular among his teammates.

Assume that's also why he has the 'A'. You don't see much of the leadership on the ice but clearly there is something there

Just seems wrong somehow that Flames would have an ASS line without Matthew Tkachuk on it.

He seems to be one of the go to "good guys" on the team, integrates well with older guys, younger guys, skilled guys and grinders, and accepts new teammates into the fold without hesitation. All the more reasons to love the young man and appreciate that the flames really hit a homerun with that pick.
