Can never take games for granted, but yes, solid win. No injuries, 5 subs used.
Good series, but really shouldve had 3 points vs HON.

Focus has to be on Jamaica and Panama next month, and I think it's good they play Mexico first and get that distraction out of the way right away.

Costa Rica dropped points at home to Jamaica, that's good.

Honduras leads the US 1-0, that's also good.

Thank goodness there's an option to the forced theatrical commentary of Wheeler. Even watching back the highlights right now I felt embarrassed for him on some of his calls.

CRC and Jamaica headed for a draw, which is a good result for us too. CRC should be one of the teams looking for the 3rd or 4th spot so them giving Jamaica their first point, pulls them back.

The US is not very good. They draw 0-0 to El Salvador, the team we just mangled. And we saw the US wer not very good against us.

So 2nd place is really up for grabs for Canada.

Which is crazy since most of us were hoping for the 4th place playoff at least.

Sportsnet is just using the One Soccer feed. Same announcers and same half time show. TSN used their own announcers.

The US has no one who can score. They are going to have to grind out results unless someone magically discovers some scoring touch

It's hard to win in Honduras. It's hard to win in Central America.

I found a stream of the Honduras USA match.

Honduras is absolutely on the front foot. USA are in shambles in all areas of the pitch.

Don't they throw bags of piss at players on the pitch?

After watching the US score their 4th, it's funny coming in to read the above posts. Honduras looked good, but absolutely crumbled at the end.

This really makes dropping points to Honduras at home hurt more.

The good news? More Berhalter!

Pepi looked real good for the States in the second half. Pretty cool for the 18 year old kid

I also wonder why Honduras crumbled at the end. Perhaps it was the heat or the tight schedule. The biggest difference between the OCHO and the HEX is the 3 match windows in 7 days. I think for teams like maybe Honduras, El Salvador and Costa Rica not have the depth to play like this every month. This is where Canada's depth could be a huge advantage. I'll be important to key in on how teams play on the third match day of each window.

Honduras manager made some bad subs at half for no reason, ruined his team's momentum.

Sometimes as a manager you get it right (H manager away at Canada in the first half) and sometimes you get it wrong (2nd half at home against USA)
