My husband (a user on CP) has been around for ages. I used to lurk when he left his computer on this website. If I remember right, I think I started account because I was his “fence” for some DVD’s that he had copied. And needed to communicate with buyers because I was doing the meet ups. I was trying to think of something witty and a play on a puck-bunny. I still have an email with this name, but now, as a 46 year old woman, I don’t use that except for junks/spam.
The user title came from when I donated a fairly expensive bag to a MOD and he asked what I wanted it to be changed to. I said I didn’t really care. So because of my many Kevin Smith avatars, he chose a clip from Jay and Silent Bob Strike back when they are stuck in the diner with Justice’s monkey.

In highschool I always had an article of clothing that was green. Earned me a nickname of Kermit.
I signed up to play yahoo towers and needed a username, so I came up with kermitology: the study of kermit the frog. It's followed me everywhere.

Bingo refers to New Era as the old LannyMacdonald. Awkwardly enough, New Era says it isn't true. But once you make the connection in posting style it's uncanny.

Formerly Sutter Hater (forget if there was a space or underscore or if it ran altogether) and TurnedTheCorner here. Signed up for this account shortly after Treliving was hired, as Boston Pizza was running its "Let your fingers do the cooking" TV ads.

The University of Santa Cruz has a Banana Slug as a mascot. I thought that was really awesome and dumb. I'm awesome and dumb, so...

It wasnt you? I assumed that you just asked the mods to take 'splashy' out of your name.
Damn, because as I recall that was a hilariously embarrassing story but I only remember the vague details like him getting to the game early and having some drinking game with a buddy which resulted in him getting insanely drunk and pissing himself.
Hence the name...splashypants.
Godspeed good sir....wherever you are!

If it is, Lanny has calmed down over the years by many factors. He would ruthlessly rip apart anyone. You had to have your A game and posts needed to be thought out.

Oh yeah, he's definitely calmed down, but same writing style and need to break down every thing directed his way with hundreds of words used to tear apart said post.

Your fixation with this is really unhealthy. And no, I have never confirmed nor denied if I am the former poster, although Bingo and I have locked horns with him making that assumption. If Bingo is so certain about it, the mods know it too, and they could easily make the handle change. With the return of other posters for their nth iteration under the same user name, it might tell you something. Either the gods of CP’s Olympus don’t believe so, or they fear the release of the kraken. I trust the moderators.

I joined the forum shortly after moving to Toronto as a way of staying connected to Calgary, as I missed my home town. I saw the Flames once in a while, but only ever as a road game at the ACC. Happily after a decade there I had a chance to move back and took it. I suppose I could change the handle to HomeGame now, but meh.

Hummed and hawed about coming up with a username. Finally went to a insulting name name generator and Doozwimp was the first result. Disliked it as soon as I put it into the system but somehow its my oldest active account.
