The art of the bad restaurant review
http://www.cbc.ca/day6/blog/2014/12/...aurant-review/
America at the Trump hotel: The food is amazing – but you shouldn’t eat here, ever
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/...ticle21833277/
If you build it, creeps will come.
There is servitude everywhere at America, but good service is remarkably hard to find.
No stars: Not recommended.
Funny stuff

Great food, but atrocious service and plenty of try-hard clientele? Sounds like Toronto and Calgary aren't that different.

The review didn't even mention the tip percentage, which was no doubt undeservedly in the 18-25% range.

Man I went to the website and clicked on the after dark segment and they ran a slick video of their night club experience, I haven't felt the urge to do that much face punching since I was a teenage alcoholic.

Christ, I've been a restaurant manager and the stuff in that review made me physically wince. God damn, wine bottle at the server station? At a $45 dollar a plate place? God damn.

I've never written a restaurant review, but this inspires me to look into it. A few weeks ago I ate lunch at a trendy place on 17th avenue, and the service, food and overall... snootiness, was unbelievable. A simple lunch took well over an hour to execute. I was the only one in there not wearing a toque covering only the back of my head, and yelling earnestly about injustices. It looked like the last customer to sit at our seats threw several cocktails onto the wall for ambiance. It hits go on and on. And on. We couldn't get the waitress's attention to save our lives until she came around to collect her blood money, at which point I pointed out that my girlfriends entree was burned to the point that it couldn't be lifted by a fork. She came back with a new bill, with $2 off, which equates to less than 4% of the cost of the meal. After all this time, my customer rage is such that I may have to join urbanspoon and unleash a review on them.
I recommend places that I like frequently, but perhaps I should look into unrecommending. It looks like much more fun.
