Default Found: Half poodle/beagle

Hey the woman has some mild dog allergies so I'm hoping CP can help. If anyone knows a breeder who has a mini goldendoodle or labradoodle litter coming up, or by some miracle someone knows a mutt litter of poodles and basset hounds or beagles or some other poodle/hound combo. Or really any hypo allergenic dog/hound combo.

Thanks! (yes I'm still trying kijiji but more eyes cant hurt)

My parents have a beagle. That thing sheds like crazy... Is it hypoallergenic?

I think generally if a dog sheds it's not hypo-allergenic.

I really have nothing to offer in this thread, other than the fact that labradooldes are awesome.

It's def not hypoallergenic but if you cross it with a poodle and it has wavy hair, it's something my GF would be able to deal with. Less shedding and more wavy hair typically is doable for people with mild dog allergies.

Kunk where did you get your labradoodle?

I have a "yorkie"-shih tzu that turned out to be about 13-14 lbs... non-shedding and very hypoallergenic.

Some may say that is too small- but I find that she is big enough that I don't have to be worried about hurting her, yet small enough that anyone can deal with her and she can't overpower them if she isn't perfectly behaving. These sort of dogs are very popular (can get many different types of crosses)- is there a reason you want a poodle-cross?

Just remember that there are no dog breeds that are going to be totally allergen free. Even the poodle mixes will still cause reactions.

I would go visit the home of anyone selling one and how bad she reacts....

We have a medium sized labradoodle and he's amazing, both from an allergy and general dog standpoint. Very intelligent, fun and beautiful dogs.

We got ours from Sun-Valley Labradoodles at Mara Lake.

Well well, Christmas came early for me. These little guys are in Saskatchewan. Road trip tomorrow to pick one up. Half beagle half poodle, sadly they might be Rider fans.

Oh my! Never thought of a beagle poodle! Looks like a cutey. Hopefully you can train him to pee on people with riders jerseys on

I cannot confirm nor deny that statement, but I am pretty confident it didn't help your chances. I could only train the black one to pee and the mexican is a lost cause!

Calgary's newest resident and recovering Riders fan, now a Seahawks fan, Jasper. Got him from a farm south of Battleford, half beagle half poodle. He's already house trained, so it seems he has the poodle train-ability with the problem solving skills of a Beagle (people assume Beagles are dumb because they're stubborn but they just have their own agenda lol). He's like a Beagle with black golden retriever fur but a little curlier.

That's a good choice. Really handsome dog.

I might have to find one too. A smarter Beagle seems perfect.
