Pospisil had an assist on the goal. I thought he was staying in Slovakia the entire season hopefully he gets enough ice time to develop

Matthew Phillips is a great interviewee. Remains upbeat, respectful, and insightful, even after a huge loss.

Ice cold Heat team playing it’s first game vs. a team that had already played a number of games. Not a unsurprising result.

Heat fall to the Marlies 5-1. Sparks stops 20 of 25, Gallant named 3rd star with the Heat's only goal (assists to Mark Simpson and Robert Hamilton), plus a fight.

8-1 Heat
NOTABLE

– Pettersen and Simpson each recorded their first professional goals in the first period, then Simpson added his second in the second frame. It was the first multi-point game of each of their respective careers.
– Dmitry Zavgorodniy recorded his first pro point.
– Colton Beck picked up his first points as a member of the Heat with a pair of assists.
– Alex Petrovic’s helper on the rookie’s marker gives him points in each of the last two games.
– Ruzicka is the first Heat player since Alan Quine to record back-to-back three-point efforts (February 17 and 20, 2019). He and Phillips have back-to-back multi-point efforts.
– For the second consecutive game, Stockton held Toronto scoreless on the power play.

SPECIAL TEAMS
STK PP – 3-5
STK PK – 2-2
THREE STARS
First – Adam Ruzicka (2 goals, 1 assist)
Second – Mark Simpson (2 goals)
Third – Emilio Pettersen (1 goal, 1 assist)
GOALIES
W – Dustin Wolf (27 shots faced, 26 saves)
L – Andrew D’Agostini (26 shots faced, 18 saves)
ND – Kai Edmonds (3 shots faced, 3 saves)
UP NEXT
Stockton will now hit the road for a seven-game road trip, starting Wednesday at Belleville with a 5 p.m. MST, 4 p.m. PST puck

How is Ruzicka's skating?

He's a big boy with some skill, hopefully he's not another average to below average skater.

Also, is he a face off guru?

It's 2-0. Another goal for Zary from Ruzicka, even though they haven't updated the score and the period is nearly over.

Scorp I miss all the Heat content you had been posting.

Looks like the first line has slowed down their pace from earlier in the season but Mackey putting up some good numbers. He will be 25 by start of next season so really hoping he shows he's good enough for the NHL.

Seems to me that Zary was a key part of that former top line- shame that he had to return to the W.

I think we have an interesting player in Ruzicka.

Was there a reason why he stopped? I check this thread daily for heat news and was surprised to see very little coverage considering a local is actually covering the Heat for FN.
