Maybe they will actual check ID’s this year and not let the people who borrow their friends STH cards in early.

I'm almost positive that they checked ours, but then again it was a while ago so I could be wrong.

It was last year and the first year they have done it. Hopefully this year they make sure person who has card actually is STH. One card one entry.

What about people who split their season tickets? When I had them, I split them with my friend and both cards had my name on them. I was billed and he paid me, so there'd be no way for the Flames to know that he was a legitimate STH.

Unless your name is on the account you shouldn’t be allowed in early. Just my opinion

I know theres people who have them under a company name, I don't know how they would check those STH.

If it is your company you should have proof. I had mine under my company name. My name was still on the account. My son’s name is on my account now.

If a person is a legit STH they shouldn’t have any worries.

Last year I went by myself, but just wondering if a couple can go in together under the one season ticket.

Thank you! I will get her wishlist and avoid her wrath of waking her up early only to get rejected in the lineup. Plus I can be more or a kid in a candy shop checking out all of the gear

Last year, I was looking forward to the “exclusive” STH window. Unfortunately, it was not enforced.

I know a lot of the STH were annoyed by this, but I felt bad for the people who honestly acknowledged that they weren’t a STH, lined up in the non-STH queue just to see a bunch of people manipulate the system.

I don't get why they mess these things up so badly. They have such an issue with logistics sometimes. At the Flames Christmas sale a couple years ago we lined up for about an hour outside and just before they opened the doors to let us in, they let all the employees stream past inside ahead of us. Super frustrating.

To their defence, the Xmas sale was historically the “friends and family” sale of employees.

And also in their defence they're a cheap organization that skimps whenever and wherever they can in the name of the bottom line. So not surprised when anything they organize goes to ****.

Anybody care to email the director of merchandising for Calgary Sports and Entertainment, Brent Gibbs?? I have emailed him before for a few other issues and don't want to email him again. We can link this page.

I do think it's important for the STH to have preferred access and I also think an easily enforceable policy of X amount of clothing items per person. The worst are the people who load up a million pieces of $10 clothing pieces and than we know they are selling them on Kijiji or whatever.

This is an event for the fan's to buy discounted and pro level gear at affortable prices, not some guy who's trying to buy 150 shirts

So when people buy this used gear do they play in it or just keep it as a memento?

I think it depends on the player/price you paid for it.

I have a game worn iginla helmet from 2011, that’s a memento.

But I had a pair of cammaleri skates that I wore for 4 seasons.

It's funny how quickly even some of the gear changes over the years, even at the pro level. My cousin always attends the sale and he bought a pair of Gio's skates maybe in 2015? Everytime he took them to get sharpened the staff were in amazement at the quality and construction. These are probably $1200+ skates. Those skates are pretty much the same standard for a lot of mid level skates now in some ways.
