Default Bike Tunes and Repairs

Offering bicycle tunes. I was the manager and head bike technician for Sport Rent for 17 years, I know I have dealt with some poster on here at Sports Rent, I have pivoted my career but still have all the skills I learned there!

Priced at $50 and that includes -

Cleaning any dirt, oil and old grease off the bicycle.
The gears and derailleurs are checked for damage and alignment.
Brakes and cables are inspected for wear and damage.
The tires are checked for wear, cracks and air pressure.
All and any tension adjustments needed are made to the various cables.
The wheel alignments are checked.
Headset and bottom bracket are checked.
Appropriate oils and greases are applied to moving parts where required.
Chain is cleaned and oiled

Additional work can be done at additional cost. No work is done without your consent and I will do a once over on the spot when you drop your bike off to let you know if there's something else that needs attention.

Tune up does not include parts or part replacements/labor if needed. I do have cables and housings on hand if they need replacing and charge $8 per cable, $5 per housing (if needed). Any other part that you want to replace needs to be brought in by you.

Price will be reduced for multiple bikes. $45 per bike for two bikes, $40 per bike for three or more bikes.

If you have bought a new bike online and need it assembled I can do that as well. Price would vary from $40 to $125 depending on the bike requirements.

Please PM on here and I will respond back with my phone number

I live in Tuscany. That being said if anyone is in the south I can probably arrange pickup/drop off in Midnapore, my sister lives down there. The turn around would of course be longer if Midnapore pickup/dropoff is required.

I was going to ask if you lived in Sandstone Valley. There's a guy who lives a couple houses down from me who does bikes too...

PM sent. For the most part just doing drop off but if you're not able to get the bikes to me I'm sure we can work something out. Please message me with any questions.

Also as a heads up generally speaking Saturday's will be the main day I get all of the tunes done, plus one week night depending on my hockey schedule. If I get busy enough I might tweak it. Although if the Cavalry are playing I can pretty much guarantee I won't be working on bikes that day!

Hey fleuryisgod. Any chance you would be comfortable with swapping out an entire groupset on a road bike?

If you have the parts I can do the labour with no issues.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to help you out with this one, with all the different seals and connections needed for things like this and suspension work I just don't have required tools and kits needed.

I may book an appointment. My wife and I have a couple of bikes we bought from Sportcheck many years ago - a Reebok for me and a Nakimura (I think) for her. We recently had two kids so the bikes have been sitting in the garage for a while (two years). They could use a proper lookover and a service and clean.

Wanted to bump this thread up incase anyone is looking for bike tune/repair services. Got 2 bikes looked at this week. Great work and very quick turnaround time compared to the local bike shops.

Would recommend!
