Still waiting on Calgary - Glenmore's recount. Should be out today, too.

Even more so, I imagine, when he's on your driveway yelling at you.

I used to be against the subsidies, but I've changed my mind. Farm subsidies are like arenas, a total race to the bottom. Except one provides entertainment, and the other is completely essential.
If we don't subsidize farms here, food from the US or other foreign sources will suddenly become a much cheaper alternative (let's ignore all the wheat board and dairy cartel stuff I don't understand). If people start buying more, cheaper US food, it will mean food production dies off to some extent on our side of the border and grows on theirs.
Then you have the next disaster where the locusts come and eat all the wheat, the limited supply will go to US mouths and we'll have a crisis here. Or the US goes full Russia at some point, and we're beholden to their demands because they feed us.
Feeding our own people is critical for our sovereignty and survival.

I can’t think of many things more humiliating than losing this election. Or anyone more deserving.

I can’t find a separate tweet but it appears the NDP victory in Calgary-Glenmore was also confirmed by a recount. Margin also grew by 12 votes to 42.
https://globalnews.ca/news/9748142/n...-recounts/amp/
These results should also put into perspective any desire to push for a recount in other close ridings. Even where the margin looks really small, there isn’t usually much of a point: Acadia was the only one where the change in result was greater than the margin, and that’s only because the margin was just 7 votes. In the end, the recount yielded a net 18 votes for the NDP in Acadia and 12 in Glenmore.
I think it’s reasonably safe to say 49-38 are your final numbers for the legislature.

Hah. I had actually forgotten about that but will pretend I was thinking ahead to the moment when Danielle Smith decides the heat is off and lets her back into the caucus.

Will she spoil the whole batch, then? I hear that's how it works.
