Yawn

As someone who started with the first Call of Duty and played practically all of them, this series is getting really tired. Except for multiplayer, I don't see the attraction of shooting mobs of respawning enemies again and again

Because it's the best of the games that feature shooting mobs of respawning enemies again and again!

I guess I'm just a gaming snob that wishes that all these super blockbuster uber popular games weren't just pandering to the masses and that we could get something new and have new worlds to explore like in the old days of PC gaming where you had a ridiculous amount of creativity and genres.

Everything now is just sequels of sequels of clone shooters that should have been put to bed long ago. I admit COD4 had good presentation and I really enjoyed the first level and the Chernobyl level but not the rest.

I miss Spearhead...

but I am excited for this one, just as I was excited for WaW.

I was hoping for a way to get back at those pesky terrorists before the year was over.

I already killed the ones from the original COD4 a half dozen times.

I can't forgive EA for what they have done to NHL 09.

So glad Infinity Ward is doing the next installment. COD:WAW was a disappointment. Treyarch is terrible and I hope Activision never works with them again.

Sorry, but after Modern Warfare 2 Treyarch is making the next one. Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Activision have an agreement that says "each company takes turns making a game in the call of duty series", but obviously in fancy lawyer talk. That is why Treyarch did 3 and WaW (5), and Infinity Ward did 2,4,and now 6 (MW:2). Sad but true, because Treyarch simply can't make video games, nothing they make is good, they have no original ideas, that is why they fail as a company.

Treyarch can't make video games but they make piles and piles of money. That's why they win as a company. EA is raking it in due to this stragegy. There is always a Call of Duty on the market now. While one company is developing one, the other one is developing the other. Treyarch makes the fillers and on the strenght of Infinity Ward, they are making the same type of dough.

It also makes me hate Call of Duty as a series though. I used to love this game more than anything. I must have played COD1 like 15 times and I played the COD2 demo like 100 times over before getting the actual game. But now, I see the formula is exactly the same as always.

I'm also really pissed off that they locked off the FOV commands in WaW. I hope that COD4MW2 returns the FOV because I cannot live with the stupid consolized field of view. It's ######ed like 50-60° instead of the 80° or 90° that I usually play with. I feel like I'm playing with binoculars or bad glasses on.

Yeah, WaW was a disappointment, but you can't argue with success.

COD4 is possibly the best game I have ever played.

Yeah I understand what they do from a company/marketing point of view. But it doesn't mean they are a good company, Activision is the smart company raking in the money, Treyarch are just filled with idiots who can't make video games. I don't like the Call of Duty series, only Infinity Ward's games.

Trailer or something

I noticed the hellfire missile. They really need to incorporate vehicles and copters/planes in this one.

Like Battlefield 2? I mastered the art of explosive jeeps in that game
