Yeah if you approach it as keeping up with other players I could see the frustration, but I'm playing it as a single player game so I don't really care as long as I can play the content without having to grind.. I guess we'll see how far I get before I feel like I have to grind or pay.
So far only a few hours of playtime so far too early to tell but the gameplay feels nice and familiar.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the showpiece game any PS5 owner should grab. Graphics are beautiful, gameplay is addictingly chaotic (SO MANY GUNS), the DualSense integration is amazing, but the most magical thing is the complete lack of loading screens. Starting the game is instantaneous, and as I was completing an optional racing minigame bouncing between dimensions with completely different environments I had to take a step back and appreciate how big of a deal that was. That's something that you just couldn't do on any previous gen game, and it's exciting to think about what we'll see in the future once the PS4 is fully retired and everything is built to take full advantage of these super fast SSDs

Wow, Jeff out at Giant Bomb. Don't know how long it'll last now with Vinny and the threesome gone earlier as well.
I dropped off from GB in a pretty big way shortly after Ryan passed, but since Vinny and etc. left, what the hell has GB even been doing? I completely stopped paying attention to them a bit before that but that site was built on their personalities...
Reddit has not had alot of kind things to say about this game. Something like it would take $110 000 to level up your character fully or over 100 years of game play. There's also been bugs when items you've bought have vanished. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwxTaJVUJro
I find this kind of argument fascinating as it doesn't end at gaming. Is the purpose of anything (video game, book, life) to get to the end? If you enjoy a thing and then the end sucks or you can't even get there, is the entire experience not worth it? Many Star Wars and Mass Effect fans seem to think so, and I find that odd.
There's so many arguments like "so if I want to play the true game, I guess I just have to pay thousands of dollars"... What if you paid what you wanted and then walked away when you were done?
I fully understand that for many, gaming is about 100%ing everything, so I see why things like massive DLC or free-to-play games become this spirit-breaking Sisyphean task. When I look at this Diablo though, I just see a free game that technically never ends.
I think the biggest issue is that if games like this succeed, then in a few short years, there will only really be games like this. That's how the gaming industry works. That's why everything was an open world action thing for like... years. And no one wants this to be what game developers are focusing their energies on making.
Incidentally, isn't this game illegal in certain countries due to addictive gambling mechanics? Doesn't seem like something to just shrug one's shoulders about.

Atomic Heart looks pretty impressive. Can't wait until games finally are fully utilizing the capabilities of the new consoles. This one looks to be multi platform

EDIT: CroFlames, I got an order in for the controller bundle for you. Already have an email confirmation from them. I'll PM you to set up a meet up.
Its so scummy that after they sell out that link brings up that 3rd party seller.
Edit: Got a bundle, thanks for the heads up. My cost was higher than I thought and then realized I had other things saved in my cart . . lol Lucky I was able to edit the cart after the order

Leaked product listing and trailer on Sony's PlayStation Direct site (since deleted) say Last of Us remake is coming to PS5 in September AND coming to PC later.
Aww yeah! Don't sleep on these - their books are always amazing for amazing games. Their books for Dark Souls were wicked and hefty value. Especially if you look at the Compendium they put out as it is worth now.
