Not totally disappointed. 2 games in 24 hours against a physical team on the back half. No real dangerous chances though, I don't think Helle was tested that hard. Oh well.

I’m pretty proud of the Flames after that one. So much stacked against them and they darn near pulled that out. Jets are frauds and don’t scare me one bit. Hockey gods just didn’t shine the way of the Flames today.

Ain’t even mad. 2nd of a back-to-back, after getting in at 2:00 am, missing the #1C and were in this one right to the end. Man the Jets are boring to watch though and not dangerous at all. Sucks to waste a solid outing by Smith and the PP definitely needs work but I’m not upset by this loss at all. We weren’t ending the season 12-0 and we already took 6 points from the Jets this year.

Meh. Positives were Smith, Janko and his PK prowess. Not a bad effort given the circumstances of missing players and shot time between puck drops.
I will say this though. I expect we will be seeing a steady diet of main players missing games from here on out. Get some other players some looks.

What is special about Winnipeg?
Winnipeg named one of the coldest cities on the planet. WINNIPEG — Winnipeg is one of the five coldest cities in the world.
Good for them

Is that as close as you can get to a scheduled loss? Seems so. Good on them for making it so close, especially with all the pressure in the 3rd.

Meh, whatever. Jets had no business winning that game, and all the breaks/bounces went their way. I'm proud of the Flames tonight. Tired team on a back-to-back and missing two of their top players, and they still gave it their all tonight, especially in the 3rd.
Just gotta forget about this one and destroy the Jackets on Tues.
And for the love of humanity, please fix the PP before the playoffs start.
Smith was solid.

Not even mad, there was just so much tight space in that game that both teams were struggling to make anything work.
Flames outworked the Jets in the third but came out flat.

Gonna lose some games down the stretch. No issues if that’s the way they are going to lose; 2 game in less than 24hrs, travel required, on the road, quality opponent, down two key players, got unlucky with 3 posts, and yet they were still the better and deserved to win that one.
Just be happy with the effort, shrug it off and move on.

Yeah I understand all the factors that make it impressive... but at the end of the day the Flames scored exactly 1 goal. It wasn't exactly the most engaging game to watch

Pretty proud of the team. Didn't give up for a second. With that kind of effort, we will be in every game.

Love the effort, on a back to back without two key players

I think we beat the Jets in a seven game series. San Jose and Vegas scare me more.
Good effort given they were throwing everything in a blender and down two key guys.
Smith played really well.
Go Nashville.

So many posts in the first. Good effort, but none of the goal scoring luck from the last few. PP1 really misses Monahan.

My thoughts exactly.
We had our chances, couldn't bury them, Jets buried theirs.
I liked the way our depth guys battled, even if it didn't pay off. Monahan leaves a huge hole in the lineup though, and could have used a 12th forward too.
Smith had a good game, that's always good.
Not really upset though. Jets aren't a bad team.

Ya weird PP units. Would have gone with Gio and Anderson with Backs and Johnny and Janko in front of the net.

Second game of a back to back, where the team had to travel east to another time zone for an afternoon game. Playing top team in the Central division. Monahan, Bennett and Neal out. Stone's first game since November. Smith's first game after being out sick. Game winning goal on the back end of an accidental high sticking penalty.
To me that's a win.
No we don't get the 2 points, but if that's the best Winnipeg can do given the Flames multiple handicaps, the boys should be walking away with their heads held high.
PS: They hit, what, 487 posts in that game?

Dumb game to make a bunch of roster and PP experiments. This isn't game 81.
Jets look like the parents of the coyotes. Rope a dope minus some of the second.
The dumbest part is the winning goal comes on the call that happens because none of the refs remember that a guy grabbing the puck on top if the net is a penalty.
