I'm going to be honest. If being embarrassed by your biggest rival two nights in a row, considering the season we've had thus far, doesn't get you fired, then Ward probably isn't going to be fired this season.

It's far more likely that pride just results in a sacrificed season for the Flames.

This game could be exactly what we needed. Either the players put on their big boy pants, take their anger out on Toronto/Ottawa.

or a change gets made. A firing(or multiple firings), or trades or... anything.

Flames will probably do neither of these things, because Flames.

To you Oiler fan lurkers, your team still sucks. Unfortunately the Flames are too broken to take advantage.

I'm not even mad. I'm being glass half full and if this team continues down this plight it's going to bring the necessary change of firing Treliving. Seven years into his term and the team is on the decline. It's time to bring in a GM not attached to any of these players that can come in and make some changes as well as a real NHL head coach.

Also Backlund should sit a game for sabotaging this game. Yeah they probably still would have lost but that was one of the most selfish things I have ever seen.

In the last 4 games played Austin Matthews has as many goals as the Flames do.
