If he were to be fired I'd hope the listeners make it well known that they're unhappy (if they are, I understand some people don't like the guy).
Point being, Fan960 isn't overflowing with listeners and ad revenue can be a chore. Let those companies know you won't be using their services or buying their products.
But thats putting the cart way ahead of the horse. For now, let's just hope he keeps telling it like it should be.

Last i saw their ratings for the target audience (19-45 yo males) are the best in the city.
That was pre-pandemic mind you.

Why don't you think they'll bring him back? Due to Rintoul trying to be the Canadian equivalent? I thought it was nice hearing about leagues other than the NHL once in a while. Though Rome's show can be cringey and blustery at times I think it's entertaining.

eERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Wrong.
I used to be a fan but this guy ran out of material a decade ago. I was tired of flicking on the radio to complete silence... fiddling with my volume, wondering what was wrong, only to hear a piece of paper get crumpled up at 85 dB.
I’m sure there is a great station in the states they could syndicate to keep a good mix. But not Rome.

Thank you. I was under the impression it wasn't that great.
None the less my point about pressuring their sponsors stands if they make decisions that don't sit well with the listener base.

I think the only reason Rome isn’t on the air in Calgary is money.
Rome is a giant of syndicated American talk radio - he was making $30M a year a decade ago, and I don’t think he’s gotten cheaper.
Scott Rintoul’s show probably costs 95% less.
Rome isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, fair enough. But have some major national American show on for a couple hours a day - Rich Eisen, San Patrick, Cowherd, Pat McAfee.
Actually. Ding ding ding.
Get the Pat McAfee show going daily - who doesn’t want a 30 minute Aaron Rodgers interview once a week during football season.
HEY KIRSCH!!!

He's too soy for radio. As much as people dislike guys like Pinder, he's probably the best up all around.

“Too soy” perfectly describes Scott Rintoul.
I do like him. He’s a pro. He’s not obnoxious. He’s not overflowing with bad takes.
But he’s so soy.
I want some American beef from that time slot.

Soy is fine, it’s probably good for you, you’re not worse for having it, but you’d still rather have something else.

Soy usually means effeminate and left-leaning.
I don't mind Rintool, it's nice having NHL talk in that time slot instead of Rome, which was mostly NCAA.

Soy is soft, 3 ply
He lacks an argument and he often let's his political opinion show. He leans left and that's fine, but we don't need to hear it from a sport broadcast

This city needs a host that holds nothing back. We already have a few to many flames apologists on the fan.

Brilliant when it comes to a life long commitment to watching sports, knowing the names, dates, scores, etc…. If you want a hockey historian, him and McGuire can sit at the top of the list. I have a huge respect for that, but that’s his sweet spot.
Beyond that he’s pretty 1 dimensional in his hockey knowledge. I guarantee he couldn’t speak with any credibility if you asked him what kind of fore check the Flames employ. His depth of game knowledge doesn’t go much farther than cliches like slotting, good position, play smart, protect the house, get it deep, win battles, focus on the details, get to the hard areas, yada yada yada.
