Pretty cool link from The Atlantic:

Spending time looking at the varying and beautiful images of our planet from above in Google Earth, zooming in and out at dizzying rates, I thought it would be interesting to compare all of these vistas at a fixed scale—to see what New York City, Venice, or the Grand Canyon would look like from the same virtual height. So, the following images are snapshots from Google Earth, all rectangles of the same size and scale, approximately three and a half miles (5.6 kilometers) wide by two miles (3.2 kilometers) tall—showing seven square miles (18.1 square kilometers, or 4,480 acres) of the surface of our planet in each view.

Motorized, wood gas-powered mountain bike. Seems safe, and maybe the potential for a heated seat for winter cyclists.

So it doesn't work, and also pollutes about 8 times more than a gasoline engine. Sweet.

I've watched a few of these videos. I think at some point he is going to have his own style of a Steve Erwin incident. Freak accident, one in a million...He's smart, but you can't play with fire that many times and not get burned.

An El Paso mother tracked her son down and whipped him with a belt last week when she realized he stole her new BMW to see his girlfriend.

Filming portrait is worth another belt whipping.
