Wait Really?
Also, I reckon you missed a couple of his incarnations.
We can all agree puckluck was the worst kind of entertainment.

Possibly. I think he has maintained a couple of aliases at the same time as well for some reason. Perhaps, to support his own posts.
Moon is another poster who is likely back. I think I know who, but not 100% sure.

Scoring Winger
|
This is pretty random, so bear with me...
I once went to a Flames game with a group of Flyers fans, and the game didn't really matter to me that much at the time (the Flames were terrible that year), so I wore a Flyers jersey for fun with the guys. It was this game to be exact: https://www.espn.com/nhl/recap/_/gameId/400047453
Anyways, we had a pile of dome beers over the course of the game, and when a Flyer scored, one of my buddy's accidentally smacked the beer out of my hand in front of a lady in front of us.
I was only a beer or two in at this point, so I was not the sloppy one at this point. I was really embarrassed and apologetic to the women in front of us. But she was not letting me have any of it. Just kept telling me that I was a drunk slob and a jerk repeatedly, despite I was offering to buy her a beer, or help clean up... some kind of friendly gesture. Like it was an accident.
Over the game, every time the Flames scored or did something productive she would glare back at me and diss the Flyers. It was kind of funny she was turning me into an enemy even though I'm not even a Flyers fan. It was getting to the point I kind of wanted the Flyers to win simply to shut her up.
Anyways, my friends are jeering back at her a bit. The Fluers came back from a deficit, and when they scored late to tie it, one guy (purposely this time) knocked my beer onto her for a second time. So she flips out and specifically tries to get me only get kicked out of the stadium. I never once said anything antagonizing to her... was just with the wrong group of people and guilty by association. Security was definitely watching me from this point on.
Anyways - now at this point I really want the Flyers to win simply to ruin her night.
In the shootout, on the final Flyers attempt, a goal to win the game, I guy I didnt even really know of, Matt Read, goes and scores the winner. Instinctively I get in her face, and yell as loud as I can repeatedly, "Matttt Reeeeeeeeeeead, Matt Reeeeeeeeead", and was told I looked absolutely sadistic and psychopathic in that moment.
I high tailed it out of there before security got their hands on me.
Anyways, was a fun, memorable, and random story, and was the first thing that came to my mind when I registered here.
Have thought numerous times about changing my name as everyone thinks my name is Matt, which its not. Lol.

I for one want to hear the story behind the name 'misterpants' and what inspired him to have his name changed from 'mistersplashypants.'
Oh yes...some of us remember...

BTW, you can always tell a reincarnated user by how frequently and aggressively they post when coming anew...

Wasn’t “Iginla” one of them. I was astonished that nobody had taken up that username before that. Now it’s off the table.

Gotta give him some credit. He REALLY likes this forum!
Well, maybe “likes” is not a correct word to be used in this context. Passionate.

Great thread guys!
My name is obviously referencing the section I have my season's tickets.
Sec304 stands for Section 304 (now known as Press Level 4, so maybe I need to change to PL4?)
My avatar is the view of the ice from my section that ticketmaster used to provide. Not very exciting.

Sad, but true. I’ve heard from some CP’ers about serious real-life threats received by a few well-known users arising from forum arguments. Unfathomable (to me), but apparently a thing.

Used to lurk on the forum for years until I decided to start an account. I'm a huge fan of tennis player Rafael Nadal and I used to read the tennis thread here lots so it seemed like a fit.
Picture is from when I went to Beagles Cup party and I found myself left me alone with the Cup.

Can't seem to embed these properly? Weird

Anyway, I made my username after one of my fav shows and fav comedians.
That said, I would only consider changing my name to Rick_Cain if I could set my location to Arizona.

Side note: how the hell do people keep track of posters names, posting style and such?
I read threads and never look at the name, often zooming in so the text of the post is all that's visible.
There are so many posters, so many opinions, so many writing styles, that I never would ever know that Banned Poster A is now Current Poster B. I don't even know who posted.
Sure sometimes I have a good discussion with someone specific or DM others. But that's a small scale, and I've been posting here for what 15 years?
Good God. How do you do it?

I used to spend a bunch of time surfing. Then I had a couple of kids and built a pot belly. I don’t surf as much anymore. I still try and go as much as possible as I do really enjoy it.

Ha, if there was a Mistersplashypants, while maybe appropriate, it was never me.
My Origin Story is that way back I was looking at the Calgary Herald obituaries and someone had just lost their cat. I found it slightly humorous that someone would pay for an obituary for their cat. The real funny part to me was that it was such a beautiful, well thought out dedication and the only way you would have been able to tell it was for a cat was that the deceased's name was Misterpants. I have loved that name ever since. Wherever you are Misterpants, I thank you.
