Sadly I think this movie will be a disappointment. They waited way too long, the characters are past their prime (or dead). Won't live up to the hype.

From what I've read so far, the original actors will not be the main characters. At most they'll likely just appear in cameo roles. Looks like the story will revolve around a younger generation taking over the Ghostbusting business, I assume with the help and guidance of the original guys.

alongside the original Ghostbusters (if they return) will apparently be four teenagers, consisting of two boys and two girls, according to multiple reports. So could the old guard be training up the new recruits?

Potentially so as it's now been confirmed that Captain Marvel star Mckenna Grace will be the lead in the movie, with Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard playing her brother and Carrie Coon playing her single mother.

Cameos? This is losing me a bit. I am getting weary of all the reboots.

Speaking of which... isn't it time for another Superman or Spiderman reboot? It's been over a year.

Would you settle for a Batman reboot?

It's all just speculation right now. Reitman hasn't given anything away yet in regards to the actual plot, and I doubt we'll know anything more until the full trailer drops. I'd like to think that if they're bringing back the surviving actors from the original, they'll have bigger roles as mentors to the younger characters, rather than just cameos. Kind of a passing of the torch thing like the Force Awakens.

I'd also love to see the return of Lewis and Janine. Pretty sure Rick Moranis is retired from acting, but if anything could bring him back for a small role, I think it might be this.

Pretty cool that Carrie Coon is doing another project here, thought she was great in the third season of Fargo.

Summer stalking plans!

Paul Rudd answered the call, the call to star in the new Ghostbusters movie from director Jason Reitman, EW has learned.

Thursday brought word that Marvel’s resident Ant-Man is in talks to join the production, as doubly confirmed by a video reveal of Rudd standing in front of the iconic firehouse from the 1984 original, which was directed by Reitman’s dad, Ivan Reitman.

“When I heard they were gonna call me, well, as you can imagine, I nearly slimed myself,” Rudd says in the video, shared by Sony Pictures’ U.K. division. “I can’t wait to join the cast this fall for Ghostbusters. In fact, I’m sliming myself right now.”

I'd like to see the opening scene being the ghostbusters encountering the ghosts of the ghostbusters from that last horrific movie and trapping them for all eternity.

Actually....Paul Rudd seems like he'd fit in rather seamlessly. Pretty good casting decision.

Might be worth a trip out to Beiseker if you get bored this weekend or Crossfeild around July 30th

“Might go to Beiseker to see some famous people” is really not something I ever thought i’d say even 5 years ago.

Strange, because you could have. Fargo was filming there over 5 years ago.
