The way he pushed off the ice and then hobbled to the back, I thought for sure he has a fracture and he'd be gone for a while.

I was also impressed with how he handled it. "I'm hurt, got to get off the ice". None of that diving, writhing in pain to get a whistle stuff. He had something similar before, and it was assumed he would be gone long time, but was back the next period. Can't remember the incident though.

Either way, he's a tough guy.

This is what I think would balance the lineup. It would be amazing if Mangiapane and Bennett could fill those 2 holes on the top 2 lines one way or another. Then maybe Reider could fit on the 3rd and Ryan centres the 3rd line.

Lindholm as the 2nd line centre makes so much sense, but it does expose another hole unless someone steps up. I’d give Mangiapane a try on the first line to see if we can get more flexibility through the lineup. It just might not really happen until a longer term injury to someone like Backlund comes up.
