The problem with having games in hand down the stretch is that the schedule is so condensed, they are likely on B2Bs. Very difficult to win them all - basically hoping for splits.

Losing is one thing, but both Winnipeg and Nashville were shut out?
Those voodoo dolls seem to be working today.

Each of the Flames, Jets and Kraken play most of their remaining games against teams currently outside of the playoffs.

It's really going to come down to who can beat more of the teams below them.

As for the Preds, they still have plenty of playoff teams to face.

Problem the Flames might have is that they are the masters of losing to the bottom 3rd.

They have perfected it.

It's because of the flood in Nashville

Colorado also has a lower games played total. They have a makeup game on April 14th
in Nashville which could possibly be the difference between winning the Division and starting on the road for Colorado.

Avalanche also play the Jets the night before so Flames may need them to help out at the end.

Right now the Top 6 in the West are
Vegas 92
Los Angeles 90
Dallas 89
Minnesota 88
Colorado 86
Edmonton 86

All teams except Colorado with 70 games played. Seattle at 83 with 69 played. I expect to see a lot of 3 point games these last 3 weeks.

If the Flames get the coin flip (roughly the same win/loss record) in OT they're tied with Seattle

Forget the OT record, many of the OTLs should have been easy regulation wins...mostly due to goaltending especially earlier in the season

Dummy's

Team was never bad enough to get a Bedard ball. If the team actively tried to lose, they don't deserve a Bedard ball.

Yep, bizarre trends on this OOT. There were 3 shutouts, two of those games had 7-0 scores, and in those 3 games the backup goalie was in net for the win.

The other trend had hat tricks being scored in 3 games.
