Sutter is the problem

Rolls lines with no chemistry with one another
Mismatches lines even with the home ice advantage
Alienates players and plays clear favorites
Insists on a useless high volume low danger shot approach
Inability to change (lines, strategies, OT)
Continues the big and slow narrative
Can’t get players motivated for lower teams. What a nonsense press conference tonight

Players suck, GM made bad moves but this is insane. This garbage is unwatchable. Thanks for 2004…

But c’mon, this roster is nowhere near good enough.

It’s both the coach and the roster.

I am not sure even Gulutzan could win with this roster and he made the playoffs more often on a percentage basis than Sutter has in his second run with the Flames.

100% he's the problem. I've never seen a talented bunch of players have such awful confidence in themselves. Not only that, they're so scared to make a mistake that they never take a chance. It makes is impossible to come back in a game.

But more than that, it's clear that nobody knows what to do when the system breaks down. He's bashed their individual heads in so much in search of a team identity that nobody has a thought of their own on how to play. You can see it when a breakdown happens that they simply don't know how to recover or where to go. There's no more hockey IQ left in them. That's on Sutter.

Get rid of him. He's killing this team.

I dunno if Sutter is the problem or even a problem. The main 2 issues are that we have no game breakers at any position and Markstrom cost us quite a few points. Unless Sutter directly is causing Huberdeau to stink and Markstrom to forget how to be good at hockey, then he is not the main problem.

The roster was considered one of the deepest rosters on paper by almost every hockey expert that covers the NHL. It isn't the roster, it is the coach.

It's been unstable because we've hired a bunch of has beens and never will be coaches. The league has passed Sutter by and it's clear he is unwilling to adjust his game plan.

Stupid line combos, stupid minute distribution, absolute love affairs with certain useless players.

Maybe his unfinished business was to come in and destroy the franchise a second time.

Sutter will have the lowest percentage in terms of making the playoffs out of the last 4 Flames coaches including himself.

He may still be a good coach, but he is not good for this group. This is a group that is afraid to make a mistake, there is zero risks being taken at a time when risks need to be. Its 50/50 players and coach.

Sutter makes the most perplexing lineup decisions. If you told me 3 years ago after acquiring him that in 2023 Lucic would be getting important minutes on the Flames I’d laugh and say is Sutter the coach? Seriously nauseating this pylon is still suiting up for a franchise on a nightly basis. If he is not beating a skull in, he is a complete and utter liability

I will say that this team inability to comeback from being down 1 goal in the 3rd even once this season, is a really, really bad look at Sutter.

Roster certainly is inadequate, but it's not THAT bad in where the Flames can only play tied or with the lead for the entire 60 minutes in order to win the game.

With Markstrom playing much better of late, it's now maybe time Sutter is in the doghouse. He really is not giving his team the best chance to win with his lineup decisions.
