So far the only thing I've enjoyed about the WBC is the showboating on every play. Very Latin/Caribbean-like. It's been hilarious as it does have more of a circus feel than the classic baseball games we're used to in MLB.

Edwin Diaz' jersey hanging in the Puerto Rico dugout? Laughable. The guy got injured celebrating. He didn't pass away. So unnecessarily dramatic.

Did anyone watch the USA vs Venezuela quarterfinal last night? What a game!

Yup - I haven't watched much, but I picked a good one to watch. Back and forth lead changes, Bard coming apart at the seams, then the Turner grand slam. Just awesome

Mexico's getting really lucky Japan isn't cashing in on these runners on base. Japan deserves better.

I'm glad Japan came back and won only because Arozarena is a clown. And Verdugo.

Baseball really needed this rejuvenation. This tournament has exceeded all expectations on viewership and passion from the players.

This will be looked at as a massive stepping stone for this tournament and the sport in general for many years. What a breath of fresh air

Arozarena’s showboating was over the top. Kinda fun to see but also pretty arrogant. Happy to see Japan win as well. Makes for a better final anyway.

Shohei started at DH, guessing he comes in to close the game out. What a player!

So far a lot of good solid pitching by both teams to get themselves out of tough situations. Already I do like the pitch clock considering how slow this one is moving along.

Yeah, I'm anything but affluent, but I need to make an effort to see Ohtani play live in the next couple of years. He's a once every 100 years type of player.

Ohtani showing down Trout with the ballgame on the line is the most delicious drama you could ever hope for. As mentioned before this tournament has been nothing short of spectacular and any sport could only dream of such promotion.
