The female official is just horrible. She can’t keep up with the speed of the play. Nothing to do with her being female but I don’t know her name.

As much as we bitch about hockey refs, the NBA takes it to another level.

Didn’t run enough time off there. Denver has 7 seconds to win.

I wonder if Leonard leaves and one of the reasons could be the Toronto factor and being treated like crap against the rest of the league.

Jokic just destroyed JV. We need to seriously look at upgrading the backup centre position. As soon as Serge goes out of a game against a quality opponent we tend to be in trouble.

Should have given Jokic the and one for that ridiculous fluke shot. NBA reffing will always be what it is, not sure why anyone complains. Tonight wasn't even as bad as it can get.

That was a really dumb shot by Leonard at the end. If you are going for the tie, you don’t leave the Nuggets with 7 seconds left and a timeout.

So much for the idea that stars get the calls and that's why reffing seems off. They do for sure, but there's more "market" calls at play as well. Leonard is getting **** all this season and it's because of where he's playing, an he likely knows it, unfortunately.

What do you mean, why do people complain? Is it better if people just accept the league has corruption, bias issues for ratings/money and leave, or love the sport and continue to watch and hope for better no matter how faint that hope is? C'mon.

You're going for the tie though, you need to give the opportunity for an offensive rebound in case of a miss. Ibaka just needs to not be an idiot.

You accept you're watching sports entertainment and not just sports.

The most annoying thing about the Blue Jays and Raptors is they're both top 5 in ratings and should be considered "in" markets that the league wants, but because of how they sell advertisements, Canadian markets are basically Antarctica in both league's eyes.

EDIT: In 2015/16, the Blue Jays were locked in number one in ratings, basically doubling the league's number 2 market in New York (Yankees) with 900k-1.2 million viewers a game to New York's 400-500k and yet ratings experts explained that it just didn't matter that much to the league.

Basically, 200-400k in the States is gold compared to 800-1mil in Canada.

No, I accept I'm watching entertainment now and hope that things can change a bit to the point where it's at least kind of a legit sport. If I knew it would always be this way I wouldn't watch.

Call me naïve if you want (and you will, among other things, as I know you're nature as a poster by now) but I'll continue to watch and continue to point out obvious inconsistency and you can feel free to gloss over it.

You're not naive, it's just not worth fretting over too much I guess. Maybe I'm just numb to it, but tonight was more of what you'd consider an incompetent night of officiating rather than a malicious one. It's not like the NBA wants Denver in the Finals over Golden State or the Lakers or even the Thunder.

JV made Embid look foolish for a second time this year.

Last night is why they can't trade JV, beyond that they need him for certain matchups, he also has the tendency to just have huge games every now and again. I also don't see what he can actually get that the Raptors need. Raptors roster is pretty much the most complete in the league.

They still need another scorer imo, I believe Vegas has the raptors as the betting odds to land him. No idea on who the raps trade tho. When JV plays well he’s great, he always seems to play well vs Embiid.

Kawhi continues to get better
