Derozan just killed the play too many times with his iso-long two style of play, and he didn't defend well enough to make up for his shortcomings.
Leonard is an upgrade in every single way and it shows. Even when they're playing poorly (like last night), you never get the feeling they're completely out of it.
There's a definite buzz around this team. Props to the management for making the bold moves that they needed.
I think that change has a lot to do with coaching as well.
If you left Casey in charge we still end up with the entire 4th quarter of isolation plays for the guards.

Buzzer beater for Casey to win in his return. Leonard had the ball when it was tied with 2 seconds left and dribbled it off his foot out of bounds. I was shocked to see that.

That was really cool to see Casey fired up after that win. He said he just wanted it to be over so he could move on, which is obviously bull****. He wanted that one bad and showed it after the buzzer. Congrats.
I asked this question before, but what happened to him? He was a great shooter, and how can that suddenly dry up? I don't follow his career, so I don't know where it all went down the drain, but it surprises me. Will GM James bring his friend aboard the Lakers?

I'm not sure if it's so much about the shooting, as much as that he always had a high-volume, low efficiency game that you put up with because he did a lot of other good things as well... generally good rebounding and assist numbers for a big wing, and acceptable defense. His game never used to be chucking 3s, the strength of his game was that he could put pressure on defenses in a lot of different ways. But he's gone from shooting 3s on about a quarter of his shots to about half of his shots, as his percentage has generally declined. Which he might think was the right thing for where the league has gone in recent years, but it's really moving him away from what made him effective once.

Everyone talks about the jobber refs and certainly the league is WWE light, but has anyone ever tried to statistically prove how the league, through the refs, either try and make the games more even, or have a bias toward one team? There has to be some type of study out there. If I were a university looking to make a name, I'd do a study like that as I'm sure it would garner funding from people. The league is total BS.
