7 other teams in division x 4 = 28 games

8 teams in other conference division X 3 = 24

16 other conference X 2 = 32

28+24+32 = 84

Two too many games, so they have to cut two conference games somewhere.

Still unimpressed with Ruzicka.

If you live in Vegas, the strip is the last place you want to be I’m sure.

You play 5 of the other teams in your Division 4 times (2 home, 2 road), but each season, there's one team in your Division you only play once on the road and another team you only play once at home.

This season, Vegas is the team the Flames play just once on the road. LA is the team that only comes here once.

I didn’t realize the NHL had gone to such a balanced schedule.

IMO it should be minimum 4 games against team in your division and you cut the two extra games from the other division in conference. It’s very strange they do it this way.

So only trip to LV this season. They are there on a Saturday night. Yeah this result is not unexpected.

He didn't make any big mistakes, he had a few nice hits, and I thought he made a few smart plays.
It's hard to impress from the 4th line playing with Dube and Richardson.
You've obviously watched him much much much more than I have, but I certainly didn't think he looked out of place.

Maybe that’s a positive. Not playing their best hockey yet still finding ways to get points. That’s what good teams do.

The Flames're gonna have a really strong video session next time, some mistakes they could clean up.
Nice scouting job on Edmonton earlier this season, you ####ing pukes.

Maybe. They really haven’t been at their best this road trip but 4 of 6 points is fine.

I 100% agree.

Usually a very good outlook when an otherwise dominant team can still win games despite not playing near their best.

If this is the worst we can expect from this group in a building in which they're apparently cursed, I'm not too worried or upset.

They were running Vegas' show after the scrum. They just needed to be engaged like they were at that point on and this could've gone pretty differently I think.

That's why they targeted older players and married guys with kids in the expansion draft. They didn't want the "WOO VEGAS BABY!!!" players on their team. They wanted them on all the other teams.

That's also why they built their practice rink so far from the Strip. Basically, they only want the players going to the Strip for games, then straight home to their quiet family lives.

The key is not letting the poor play continue for too long or it will catch up to them.

Case in point the Oilers, man does that team suck minus their PP.

It seemed a little odd that he has the callup, positionally. Both Richardson and Dube play centre, and Phillips is a natural RW. I understand that it was a reward for his play in Stockton, and maybe they never intended for him to ever see the ice anyway.

Also only watched the 3rd. Two goals against were due to breakdowns/sloppy coverage in the D-zone. Good to see them battle back though, almost got it tied. Loved that Lindholm won three (?) straight draws in the o-zone with the goalie pulled.

The Flames didn't have it tonight but their defensive game was still good enough to keep it close and they made a push.

The Flames were tired, on the road, and not sharp at all and kept it within striking distance and had two extremely close calls.

Not a bad game other than being pretty boring for the most part. I'm very curious to see how the Flames and Golden Knights match up in Calgary.

Flames battled hard, which really matters. You aren't going to win 82 games, and to push that hard speaks well if where the team is at this year.

Too bad, as the OOT Oilers salt would have been amazing.
