That is weird. Dont we play Pacific teams at least 4 times? Maybe I'm misremembering.

I thought the Flames looked tired and out of sync...couldn't move the puck at all well tonight...fumbling around most of the time. Until the last 10 minutes or so they looked like pure dog crap.

Hanifin was particularly terrible...couldn't control the puck at the O-blue line and continually had guys getting behind him.

Ugh.

On to SJS. Try to party less the next time in Vegas I guess. Dunno.

Flames players hit Sapphires hard last night. Looked lifeless for majority of this one.

Yup, the first game of the season where we were clearly second best. Still very nearly tied it up.

Great effort late. Best I've seen the Flames with the net empty in I don't know how long.

They finally started playing their game in the last 10 minutes, and all the usual suspects suddenly looked like themselves. Start a period sooner and it's a different game.

Can't win them all. But I'm willing to bet they didn't do themselves any favours in preparing for it last night.

Please be responsible on your next trip to Nevada and end this dumb streak.

I hate Vegas.
We didn't deserve to win though. Very happy to see the boys push back in the last 10 minutes!
Vegas is a scary team.

Yeah. Flames didn't show up for 50 minutes and Vegas still didn't dictate the game.

Anderson is too slow on PP and on break out from the D zone. Hope he improves.

That was a grind of a game. I wish the Flames would have gotten a little greasy earlier in the game though. That battle behind the net (that gave us another great Sutter gif) helped give the team some momentum. They should have been more emotionally engaged earlier in the game.

I thought Hanifin and Backlund were quite poor tonight.

At least the scores were interesting. Could have taken a point tonight and if we go to OT it is 50/50. On to the next one….

The Flames're gonna have a really strong video session next time, some mistakes they could clean up.
Yeah, I thought they really shut down our breakout

Knights alcohol tolerance must be on another level living there full time. They have the advantage at home.

I disagree. The VGKs looked exactly like the Flames usually do, rarely out of position, active sticks, always challenging the puck carrier. That’s probably how other teams feel after playing the Flames.

First game in a long time, if not all season, where they lost they possession and expected goals battle. One game isn't too worrying, but this was the first true Western Conference contender they've faced this season. We'll see how they fare next time at the Dome.

Flames have played very poor hockey on this road trip relative to their overall season play.

Should feel very fortunate to have 4 points so far on this 4-game trip
