Nothing interests me this time around, but I snagged the Castle in the Forest from round one (lol, or at least I think I did? I can't find any trace of an order on Bricklink - but I have the email.)

Thanks for this, I ordered the Lego modular store.

I was just at Brick Bin because I like to be disappointed when there either isn't any 9V train track or when there is and it's priced obscenely. But for all you southerners, I was told a second Brick Bin is opening on Macleod and Heritage in the coming months. It'll be "much bigger"

wow, a 2nd Brick Bin?!
are they going to keep the original location? I have a tough time thinking they have enough inventory to run 2 stores.

Watching some of the reviews of the ATAT set and it does look amazing, especially with the internal works. A lot of thought clearly went into the design.

i'm surprised they still have the lightsaber in stock. That thing is going for $200 in the aftermarket!
congrats on the AT-AT!

So I stick mainly to city, and stick to deals and bricklink, but I splurged and got a couple sets recently that I have been eyeing for a while. I got the treehouse 21318 that I have been eyeing for well over a year. Last summer I built my kids a pretty solid treehouse (I think I posted photos in the makers thread) and hinted to my wife that the lego treehouse would be nice to have to go along with all the work I had done. Well birthdays and christmas have came and went and she never bit on the idea, so I broke down and got it last week. IT has regularly went on sale for 170 down here so when I finally caught it at that price I went for it. The other set is the sesame street set which I think will be a fun build with the kids and in the long term could turn it into a modular.
Now I just have to find time to build them!

If it were me, I'd be more likely to keep the lightsaber and sell the AT-AT

Hoping some LEGO experts can help me.
I have an R2-D2 set that I don't have room for. Is it worth trying to sell? What's the best way to do so?

Selling on EBay isn't too difficult. If you have the original box, I'd double box it, then take the measurements and weight. EBay has a new shipping program, where you can just print off the label and take it to the post office.

If you do want to sell I'm interested, I don't know what a fair price would be but PM me if you have some idea.

you can go to bricklink.com and search for the item and see the average price its sold for recently to help you gauge value.

That reminds me, my UCS Xwing and UCS Ywing are both half disassembled in their original boxes sitting in storage because I don’t have room for them in my current place.
Same with the non UCS falcon I have. I think it’s the TFA version.

On the Sesame Street, I also had a look at adding it to the modular builds. The buildings are open at the back unlike the other Modulars. There are a few sets of plans online where they add bricks and then Sesame Street just adds into your other modular builds.
While I’m at it, just want to add that the new boutique hotel looks really clever with the triangularish corner build.

Ok, so Ive got a few sets which are missing misc pieces. DAMN KIDS. DAMN VACUUM.
I was scoping out Bricklink. I'm guessing that is the best place to buy particular pieces?
I'm guessing you want to try to find a seller based in Canada who has the majority of the pieces you need so it can be shipped together.
Otherwise you'll get killed on shipping if you buy one mini-figure head from this guy, and one wheel from this other guy...?
Anyone have any advice if you're looking to buy specific pieces?

Bricklink is probably your best bet, especially if there's specialty pieces in there - quick tip, you can create a wishlist of missing pieces, and Bricklink can find the fewest stores to fulfill your order automatically for you.
If you're in Calgary, you can always try one of the two Brick Bin locations - they have lots of individual pieces and parts, and charge you to fill a cup. If it's nothing too specific to one set, you can always try to find it there.
