So Blaster, who does Horvat pass the cup to after the game, do you figure?

The Avs clearly have a need at the goaltender position, but they have an embarrassment of riches at the center position. What if we made a deal with them that would send Vladar to Colorado and bring Newhook to Calgary? That would put us in a position to deal Monahan in a separate trade (possibly to bring in Toffoli or someone similar)?

Yeah and then trade Monahan for Matthews, sure why not.

Vladar has had a great start here in Calgary, but he is still very much an unknown quantity. I don't see Colorado making a push for a goalie unless he is established. They would have lots of interest in Markstrom.

Not having a backup capable of spelling the Vezina-caliber starter is why our last Vezina winner played 70 games a year and never made it passed round 1 except for the one time he played 39 regular season games.

It blew my mind that the avs didn't back up a brinks truck when marky was a ufa. When that team does nothing, people will look back at what they did with their goaltending and be mortified.

It's doesn't matter who is in net for them. They are one of the worst coached teams in the NHL.

Looks like pond hockey for the Avs. They'll never win anything playing the system or should I say lack of system they're playing.

Too many guys not bought into playing defense.

It’s nbd. I do that all the time in my beer league.

My teammates get pretty mad at me when I play defence like that

#### no. Calgary hasn't gotten good goaltending since kipper. IF Vlader continues this ( he's only 23) then he will take over for Markstrom near or at the end of his contract .

I'm tired of the #### goalies for the lat 10 years that sank good performances. Good goaltending can steal ALOT of games when the forewards are ####. The dream would be Vladar/wolf combo in 3 to 5 years. Vlader would be entering his prime and Wolf would be at that stage of just being a regular back up age.

Let's keep our top goal tending pair intact .

Pump the brakes sweetheart. This is Bruce Boudreau. Middling teams are coached by him . He couldn't to anything with a prime Getzlaf and perry or prime Ovie and Backstrom. The Vancouver Canucks have no where near as good of rosters that any previously coached BB team had.

That was a crazy 1st period, the Avs were up 4-3. They had 2 PPGs, 1 SHG, and 1 ESG. The Flyers also scored a SHG and PPG. Special teams meant everything for the Avs. Colorado fired 50 shots at Jones. What an intro for Coach Yeo, he has to shore up the Flyers defense and their PK. The Avs goalie, Annunen, had an assist on Makar's spectacular goal.

3 at 4 in the shootout

No goals for OV, no problem. He gets 2 assists and shows that he is an excellent passer. The Ducks score 9 seconds into the 2nd period. It was a fairly calm game as each time had 1 minor penalty called against them.

The Canucks win with their new coach and Demko makes 31 saves for the SHUTOUT. The Kings were definitely the tired team from playing the previous night. The Canucks PP woke, they were 2/4.
