They should do shows with a group of guest vocalists. Each guest could do 4-5 songs.
I wonder when it will be acceptable to do a tribute cover album. Something akin to Borrowed Tunes, which had some great covers.
BTW, while I don't have my head totally wrapped around Neil's politics, he wrote some great songs.
That album features some good stuff
Spoiler!

It was a great performance. Feist was the perfect choice. Excellent choice of song as well.

I'm on the Hip's email list. The moment I saw that Alberta residents can order online I placed an order for a couple cases without a 2nd thought... even though I ordered it 40 minutes ago I keep looking out the window when I hear a vehicle drive by to see if it is delivery.... Yes, I know it will take a couple days. I'm surprisingly excited for this.

Powerful new video for the Hip song "Montreal" to commemorate the anniversary of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre.
They also have a CD single/t-shirt bundle for sale with all proceeds being donated to PolyRemembers/PolySeSouvient, supporting families of the victims.

Mike Downie may be uniquely positioned to direct the “definitive documentary” on the Tragically Hip, but the brother of late frontman Gord Downie says he's discovering that even he doesn't have the full story.
The documentarian has signed a deal with Amazon Prime Video to make a four-part series chronicling the Hip's ascent from high school band to Canadian musical icons.
Mike Downie says the untitled project will soon head into production after about a year in development, and is slated to be released in fall 2024 to mark the 40th anniversary of the band's formation in Kingston, Ont.

the documentary series will feature never-before-seen videos, recordings and photos to help situate the Hip's trajectory within the story of Canada.

They've also just released a live recording - Live at the Roxy from May 1991 and the first couple tracks sound great.
The Roxy show has been circulating forever as a bootleg, but it was always missing a few songs. This is the first time it's been released in its entirety, and it's been newly mixed and remastered. The quality is so pristine, they could have recorded it yesterday and you wouldn't even know. It sounds fantastic.

I’ve heard the KWT and Double Suicide rants heaps of times in the past but had no idea they came from the same show. What a night to be in the crowd. I also love hearing the hints to Locked in the Truck of a Car which hadn’t been released yet
