No surprise in this game, the Avalanche lead 2-0 late in the first period.

The Wild are up 3-1, so it looks like a sweep for the home teams tonight.

The Flames aren't the only team getting pushed around by the Panthers. Man they're good at home.

Just missed out on my bet for the coyotes to win when they were down 2-1. They were a +650. +285 now that it's tied

The Coyotes are playing with confidence against the Avalanche. It is 3-3 midway through the third period.

The Coyotes actually had a 3-2 lead. Keller has a shorthanded goal and Kessel with a pair of assists. Prosvetov is in net for the Coyotes and he has made 43 saves so far!

Rantanen takes a penalty with under two minutes left in regulation time. The Coyotes came close, but, could not score. Overtime coming up and the Avalanche have fifteen seconds to kill off the penalty. Terrific action.

The shootout is happening now. It was nice to see 4 on 4 overtime hockey for over a minute due to the penalty expiring in overtime.

Yeah, that was about as bad a combination you could imagine. The absolute worst road team vs. the absolute best home team. The Panthers stomped them rather easily. Roope Hintz continues to be the only real highlight on that team.

The Avs and Coyotes began a home/away series. The Coyotes had their rookie goalie in net and he was the reason they were able to get a point. The Coyotoes only had 3 shot on net in the 3rd period. Both teams were perfect on the PK (4/4 Coyotes and 5/5 Avs). I think both teams will start their alternate goalies for the Sat. game in Arizona.

The Ducks and Wild were tied 42-42 in shots for the game, including 17 each in the 3rd period. The goaltending favoured the Wild as Stolarz was pulled after letting in 6 goals. The Wild scored 2 goals in four seconds very early in the 3rd period. There was only one minor penalty called in the game.

The Panthers mauled the Stars, especially in the 2nd period. Huberdeau and Bennett each had 4 points. Bennett scored a hat trick.
