Default WJC Quarterfinals: SUI-SWE. FIN-CAN. CZE-USA. RUS-SVK.

Switzerland vs Sweden. 2pm MT. TSN 3/5
Sweden still has an illness going through their room. Flames prospect Sveningsson, Ginning, Sodergran, and Broberg are still game time decisions after missing the last game with illness. Hugg was also sick but has been confirmed to be able to play tonight.

#17 Filip Sveningsson

Finland vs Canada. 4pm MT. TSN 1/3/4/5
Finland has played the underdog card claiming all the pressure is on Canada to win. The loss to Russia has given Canada the hardest path to gold out of all the medal favourites.

Czech Republic vs USA. 6pm MT. TSN 2
USA should be the favourite here as they are the deeper team. USA also has an illness going through their room. Wahlstrom had his time limited against Finland. Miller and Keyser missed the game against Finland but showed up to an optional practice yesterday. Projected 2019 1st OA pick Jack Hughes has missed a few games with an injury but still described as day to day.

Slovakia vs Russia. 8:30pm MT. TSN 3/5
Perhaps the last WJC game for the 3 Flames Slovak prospects. Russia is the only team to have had a perfect record in the round robin this year.

A radio broadcast of Canada/Finland is available on TSN 1040 from Vancouver, so an app like TuneIn should allow you to listen in the car for those of us who might be commuting.

What time is puck drop for Canada game?

Score app says 4:30, TSN says 4:00, but is that for pre-game?

4:30. Never trust TSN's start time, as you already know, they like to get you tuned in really early to watch some ads.

When did Sweden lose?

... No seriously when is the last time Sweden lost in the round robin.

I'd use Radioplayer Canada these days FYI

Sweden didn't lose, but Russia is the only team to win every game in regulation giving them the perfect 12 out of 12 points.

Sweden won a game in OT which gave them 11 out of 12 possible points.

3 point system.

4-0-0-0 record for Russia. 3-1-0-0 for Sweden.

Almost like they're sacrificing accuracy for money-driven goals.

Can't imagine they'd remain a reputable sports news source if they did something like that! (they did)

Just one of my irrational, old man peeves. I also get annoyed with 12 x triple rolls = THIRTY SIX ROLLS on toilet paper packaging. No, it is still 12 rolls. Just the facts. And yes, I am a riot at parties.

I get why TSN does it, for sure.

They haven't lost a game in the round robin stage in 12 years. 48 straight.

Yep. The international San Jose Sharks.

Sveningsson will play

Uffe Bodin @UffeBodin
All the Swedish players are healthy and available ahead of the WJC quarterfinal against Switzerland. Five players and two coaches missed the last round robin game against Kazakhstan due to stomach flu.

Denmark finally scored a goal!

But they are down 3-1 to Kazakhstan in Game 1 of the best-of-3 relegation playoff.

Fortunately we’re playing the Finns and not Miami. 😉

3-2 now. By the shot count Danes are dominating but I can’t watch. Are they?

Want a party? Let's unroll those damn things and see if it's really triple. I have my doubts.

I get why TSN does it, but I also have always wondered why players on other teams would be at the top of the scoring race quite often... but I heard about them 30x less than Komarov.

Once you let a little promotion enter your 'news', it's tough to buy into everything they put forward as the 'experts' IMO.

For example, I do not think the Oilers are cup contenders.

The Swiss have been playing very well so far, and just opened the scoring against Sweden. Late in the 1st period.

Playing Finland in the quarterfinal is not ideal.
